They wouldn't just strip Guthrie of 8, and Saylor will keep 27... forever.
 
Taylor needs to carry on the 27 tradition. Guthrie hasn't exactly earned the number 8, worn by God himself no less. Much as I have defended him in the past, give him 99 till he proves he is PL class and give Cabaye number 8!

Guthrie was our best midfielder when we went down and was class when we came back up! Just because he's barely been involved in last season he's still a good player!
