A fair point, but whilst I like many others dream of a stable club with a long term appointment steadily taking us forward. I just don't think CH is capable, so would like the next man who hopefully will be to do so for the next decade. Bah!
With the Cardiff win we are now in 15th! , bit worrying but it is very tight, a win at Palace could have us up a place or two again,
Did I miss something? 2-2 Results have been quite kind to us to be honest. Puts a lot of pressure on the Crystal Palace game though. It's almost a 6 pointer.
Erm at the TIME of posting it did look like a Cardiff win, actually up until 10 seconds left, so bog off!
okay sorry, thought you were being pedantic. Not good for us really, last thing we need is a Sunderland revival, they face Villa next as well, could see them nicking a win there.
That's not a strictly accurate representation of a full 38 game season though, for example in those 38 games we've played both Arsenal and Man City away twice.
I think a draw is a decent result. A win for Cardiff and they move above us and a win for Sunderland would give them good confidence going forward. It feels a little bit like last 10 or so games of last season where we had to rely on the opposition being worse rather than us getting ourselves out of trouble as we were/are incapable.
Other teams don't earn you points. Last season we earned ourselves 44 points and with them 11th place. As of now we have earned ourselves 19 points and 14th place. There are six teams which have earned fewer points. Any team that survives "relies" on the relegated teams doing worse than them! Just as whoever wins the league relies on no team doing better! Your fate is decided by how many points you and others earn. That's how it works!
Stoke losing 3-0 to Spurs is good news for us, but to be honest, the 'relegation scrap' at the moment includes 11 teams with city somewhere in the middle of that lot. Far too early to panic! One win could take us to 11th and solid mid-table, such as it is!
Another tame defeat away from home, I think he's got it horribly wrong with the team selection yet again, so once again I would say he's a decent replacement away from the sack! We need that replacement sooner rather than later! Bah!
I really am a bit disappointed he's not been chopped ! I had a really strong feeling that I was going to see it all over the sky sports news bar today. Still there's always next week !
I was watching one of the sky review shows and several folk seemed to think that you need at least three years to really put a stamp on a club, but stability and long term planning is no longer the case in football - it should be in my opinion and it seems to be in the same view that Mr Mcnally has and at the end of the day that is all that matters.
Not hoping Munky, just expecting, there's a difference between the two. Get it wright if your going to have a pop fella!
