Thats a good shout Ronny, IMO Solskjaer has been sounded out and is ready to manage in the prem, We just hope he is as good as Sir Alex Ferguson believes.
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/cardiff/next-permanent-manager Odds on everywhere and as short as 1-4.
I'm sure he has it in him to be great but a hell of a gamble with only half the season left and no money to spend. You need a Steve Bruce type to just keep you up.
What's the news on the Turkish guy Yilmaz Vural , there were rumours a couple of weeks ago regarding this fella .
Will be surprised if Fergie hadn't told him to avoid he job like he advised him not to take the villa job a few years back.
There is not one fan who would not shake Malky by the hand and thank him for his time here, on a personal level everyone liked him. I felt he would be given one last chance against Sunderland because if we won that the situation would improve greatly while if it was lost I doubt anyone would expect him to keep his job then. On the football pitch it has been a different matter, we have now won 7 games out of the last 32 in the two leagues. The team did not come out and play for the manager against Southampton. The pay off is said to be £2 million for Malky and we will see if any other owner will take a chance on him. It is a sad end to the matter. Thank you Malky and good luck. jck
The only person who id want even less is Dave Jones. Saying that Robbie Fowler apparently applied for the job before so maybe him as well.
Lots of rumours and half truths about, Tan was chatting to Ferguson when we played them down here most thought it was about Malky. Im working on the same rumours but was told it concerned Solskjaer back then.
I said back at the beginning of this mess that maybe Brom moving in on OGS had brought this situation to even more of a head so to speak. I know the "Tan is mental" idea is popular but if he has moved MM out to get OGS in then there is logic if no sentiment in that idea. Only time will tell if it's correct. As hilts says there will be a significant transfer kitty for the new man. Just hope he doesn't panic like the muppets from QPR last season, having said that we are 13 points better off than they were.
Seeing how Tan has conducted himself recently, I won't be surprised if he offers Cardiff boy Toshack the job, thinking it would win favour with fans In all seriousness, this sucks, and the timing is poor. I hope Bellamy isn't behind some of this! but I wouldn't be surprised. Either way, I hope you get someone who will settle in quickly to give you a chance of survival. It's going to be a tough few months for all clubs in the bottom half, and this doesn't help you guys.
Malky was managing Watford before Tan was talked into giving him the job at Cardiff, previous to this he was never considered a top manager so he has built a reputation at Cardiff using massive funding from the owner. We can see that while we were one of the top spenders in the league not all clubs in the prem have that kind of backing. So, although we owe Malky it was coming to Cardiff that gave him credibility as a manager. If he came to your club and then your team performed like we did against Southampton I wonder how you would feel. jck
From today's Guardian after reporting MM had been sacked: Earlier the agent of Yilmaz Vural, the Turkish journeyman who has been linked with the Cardiff job, mischeviously tweeted that "explosive" events lie ahead. Muzzi Ozcan tweeted: "The story is coming to a End in Wales and a new story will be born ... The next 48 hours will be explosive !" http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/dec/27/malky-mackay-sacked-cardiff
Sad news for Cardiff, but could be a great opportunity for Malky as I'm sure he will be fining job offers come in soon.
