The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. That was more than low moral for me. Disinterested more like.
Lets hope for a result tomorrow.

Di Canio ripped every sinew of trust, team ethic, togetherness and confidence from what was already a fragile dressing room and left the players bewildered, confused and unsure of their futures.
It must have been a terrible atmosphere he created and Gus is still reaping that devastation now.

It looks now like they have been playing Fletcher even though he is still struggling with an ankle problem..May explain why he has been out of sorts..
Hopefully, that would be the best answer wouldn't it?
It's terrible to think that we've had a run of strikers who couldn't care less about the club.
I'd hate to add Fletcher to the list of Bent, Gyan, Cisse, Wickham ..............
Cest man, I remember what you said and you were all for his appointment when he arrived. Now you relentlessly blame him for all of our problems and ignore the millions that MON wasted on sackless plodders.
You can't change history and the things you say on here stay on here.
Just like the relentless ridiculing you've dished out to Martinez who you always reckon is a useless conman of a manager who's not fit for the Premier League.
He's taken Everton to the verge of the Champions League despite the recent loss of Baines and the permanent loss of Mario Fellaini.
I wonder if you'll admit you were totally wrong about him now.
To be fair Cest has already admitted the moral of the squad was already fragile. Therefore most of that damage had already been done which is pretty much what I've been trying to reason with him, but he's ignored his own comment to carry on shouldering the whole blame on PDC, If he's gonna contradict himself and still dig his heels in, I can't see how we can reason with him on this matter. Since Bruce became manager there has been massive blunders from the playing staff to the chairman including everything in between. Cest is clearly having trouble accepting the true situation of our club and it's causes as he's burying his head in the sand which is understandable considering his confidence regarding our club is unstable to say the least.
Just think it's his coping mechanism mate. It hardly covers himself in glory but it must be keeping him going because we have a more positive Cest on the forum at the moment.
I agree and it's a welcome change under the circumstances.
I just find it a bit daft to attempt to offload all of MON's many failures onto Di Canio who was flung headlong into a terrible situation & demoralised squad.
The problem is that comments you make on here, no matter who long ago, stay on here. Attempting to change your own 'personal history' just doesn't work.
That's forums for you mate. I check my facts even when i know it already, it's just sensible. It's a never ending declaration, signed time and time again with every word we type.

Or ...... ..... you can always backtrack, waffle or pretend it was a ll just a joke really![]()
That doesn't wash with me like.

Got a lot of time for this Cest though. He's quite balanced at the moment, PDC comments aside. It's good for the forum too as Cest has always carried a lot of influence on here, A panicking Cest can bring folk to symbolically throw themselves from buildings. Considering our position it's a calm board at the moment.

Says the man who wanted Martin Jol? Mmmmmm?
No backtrack or pretending its a joke. PDC was the worst ever appointment full stop and I absolutely did express my concerns at the time whilst giving the bloke my support as the new Sunderland manager.
And Bri, I don't have anywhere near the kind of influence you suppose. I just have my own strong opinions which do not include buckling to either you or smug as some do. That's fine by me as well.
I certainly didn't want Martin Jol at the time for sure.

..

Guy's, tonight's not the night for ripping into each other. We've just had a great win, one that could be the start of something really memorable.
Now's the time for mackems to enjoy the moment together!

Can't agree with that mate ......... if we'd lost the doom mongers would've gone for the throats of anyone with any faith.
They always come back with that 'we're all Sunderland fans together' bollocks ............ so **** them![]()
