Maybe we can get a manager who took a club outside of the top league to the League Cup final and also made the playoffs. Then the following season he won promotion as Champions to the top league, and now has that team outside of a relegation place in the most competitive league in the world. We also want a guy who can't be held responsible for overspending because obviously a manger signs all the cheques.

I hope we can find a guy with those qualifications.

We cannot have this attitude towards the owner from Malky at the end of games, he ignored him after the last game.

This shows a lack of respect not just towards tan but also the fans, he has caused all this trouble and it is not the first time.

If you cannot do the job with a smile on your face and work with the owner for the best of the club what is the point of being here.

Here we are in a fight to stay in the division and Malky is more concerned about his own ego, he always says he is concentrating on the next game that is not the truth.

Thats a bif IF - as Roger Whittacker would say "I Don't Believe In If Anymore" so its more likely to be the "The Last Farewell" meeting. I cant believe I remember that crap lol

If Dalman has pulled this around he deserves a lot of credit.

On the other hand, if we then go down with Malky, Tan will blame Dalman for doing so.

The scenario seems set and their only going through a consultation procedure between owner and chairman to try to mitigate the impact. One last round of talks and Malky is kept on means Tan is seen to back down - I don't think he will. Malky will be gone and there'll be a new guy on board before Christmas.

Having gone this far, any outcome other than that would amaze me.

I'll bring the Suarez situation back up. That was untenable according to the press this summer, he simply HAD to go.

I don't see Tan as the backing down type, but other than the way he changed the shirts and threw **** loads of cash into the club I don't really know much about him. Obviously we have previous discussed his dress sense..........

The situation has reached a tipping point where by either MM must go, or the air must be cleared. Only the people on the inside actually know whether that is possible. It appears Dalman believes it is.

If Dalman pulls this around...............was he born on Christmas Day about 2013 years ago? After him with the 5 loaves and 2 fihes.

I guess the meeting will be more about how they do it rather than finding a way to fix it.

New manager, Colin or Ollie anyone?

"Dalman has a preferred candidate to replace Mackay should he be dismissed - the manager is a high-profile name currently in work outside the UK."

Seems not.

Now who is a "household name at a British club" and "currently working outside the UK"?

Sorry, but that post read like the post of a sycophant. Respect is earned, and frankly, VT deserves none.

They (press) haven't been shy about declaring the 'facts' so why the cloak and dagger **** about whoever the replacement is now?

Hmmm, what's Avram Grant doing at the moment? That's a rhetorical question as he hasn't worked in club management since leaving Partizan Belgrade in May 2012.

Only speculation but thoughts gentlemen and ladies.

Ok, after last night why is Malky still our manager? The BBC have run the story which may or may not be accurate and the worlds media have run with it.

Now the club could put this to bed very easily and have so far refused to do so, which is adding fuel to the fire, I have no doubts that what's left of any relationship between MM and Tan is at an all time low.

I have an issue with the fact this email happened on Monday but nothing has changed. Yes it's supposed leaking has resulted in a massive media **** storm, everyone from fans to pundits have got very worked up. Our club has been put in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons yet again.

Surely at some point today whoever is in charge for our game at Anfield is getting on a bus with the squad. If MM's position is untenable he doesn't get on that bus.
If Tan is waiting for a hammering at Anfield to be the final nail then that is pathetic but is he really the kind of man that issues an ultimatum on Monday then backs down?

So to sum up, Why is MM still our manager? If this email is as described he should definitely have left the club before the news 'broke' yesterday.

*I am not burying my head, delusional, asleep and needing to wake up and smell the coffee, the events described just don't make sense to me.

Don't make sense to me either - which is why I don't believe two halves of what is being reported as fact. Latest big thing 'reported' is that there is a crisis meeting Friday night - but Steve Borley has rubbished this (apparently) saying there is no meeting between Dalman and Tan. Who to believe? Not the press, who are so often wrong - basically, just make something up yourself, post it on a board, and see if anybody beleives that. If they do, then that is what is happening next.
