The big difference now is there is a dredger permanently removing sand from the sea bed just off shore, if you go to any of the beaches along the Holderness coast you can see the evidence.
 
For anybody that cares/has a Caravan on/knows someone on Sandy Beaches Caravan Park, they're Twitter has just released a Statement:

Please note that the Caravan Park is CLOSED to the general public. You may visit on Saturday and Sunday between 11am-2pm but must report 1/2

Sounds as though it's still quite dangerous down Kilnsea/Spurn end.
 
Yeah - the Eastern Daily Press did a 'special' of pics. Upsetting stuff and heart-breaking for those affected.

My mate had the cafe at Sheringham near the lifeboat shed. When he went down after the 2nd lot to meet NNDC officials, he found he had been looted.
Sadly it also happened in Cromer and Hemsby.
