Morning, crew. How are we??? Good, good. Liven up a bit though. Cor blimey!

The beast with big career questions to answer today must be African Gold (12.50 Uttoxeter). Purchased for a huge number of sheep by the 11th richest man in Wales, over the summer, he wasn’t exactly inspiring first time up over the big ‘uns and needs a tip top performance this afternoon to get his career back on the old tracks. Certainly only a watching brief for me though.

I note that Mullins piece doesn’t mention the beast that has just been bought for an absolute, an I do mean absolute, fortune – the 3YO Allez Colombieres. He’s 3 from 3 in completed races across the Channel and last time out had clock watchers absolutely Purring with a capital 'P'. Only quoted by a couple of bookie chappies re Cheltenham though.

Good luck to those wager this afternoon.

Twinlight wont stay 3 miles.

Possibly not MOG, and I'm talking complete ballicks as usual - Twinlight won three chases last season, so wouldn't be elegible anyway. I don't know where he will get placed given the other stable stars, but I'm convinced he has improved tremendously this season <ok>

Edit: who killed my bug? He's been stationary a long time!

Cheers Bob dont know what happens to Dallas in December cant put too much on Romo there the defence stunk

On the horsies bullish about a big run from King Zeal in the next at Uttox

I see Cheltenham’s Grade 2 International Hurdle, on Saturday, is looking very much a 2 horse affair. Both The New One and Zarkander are top quality (both perched on 167) but the other 5 entries look nowhere near up to the grade (in fact 4 of them are rated 140 or lower). A real shame that other decent hurdlers haven’t been asked to compete for the £130k prizepot.

Didn’t see the race but ‘Sporting Life’ say African Gold hit the deck then 3 out at Uttoxeter. Still has a lot to prove over fences, methinks.

Getting in early tonight on the ones I like tomorrow!

Cracking article lads- get yout teeth into that if you wanna get the ins antepost debate started. Very logical guy

My goodness, just read it, this guy really knows his stuff. Don't bet ante-post at all, especially for the Cheltenham Festival where prices nearer the day are almost always very good (and SPs aren't bad either), but this blog makes me think again on specific cases. Thanks TC, good article. <ok>
