Saw this hilariously biased Russian cartoon on Ukraine's current dilemma: http://i.imgur.com/LDDGQeK.jpg

On the European side, the devil, gays, drugs and Hitler. On the Russian side, an angel, happy families, knights and a cosmonaut.

This only demonstrates to sensible people why Ukraine should join the EU and cut all ties with Russia.

What a bloody odd cartoon. Presumably this is the choice that faces Ukraine. :)

What's the bald head and pigtail for..?

This NFL match is mad, players trying to run in about 8 inches of snow. The snow is still tipping down as well.

At least one dead in a massive fight at a football match in Brazil... Media are going to have an absolute field day with that one!

OK, if I was one of those I'd probably choose piloting a Mikoyan Foxbat or Vostock/Soyuz space capsule over hard drugs too. As a Westerner the hard drugs obviously win every time, of course [just so long as I can have one go in that Foxbat/Vostock/Soyuz]. :)

When I saw that I'd assumed it was between two lower league teams, where such trouble is much more common. The fact that it's Atletico Paranaense v Vasco is pretty major news.

Didn't they decapitate a referee recently..? Or was that another South American country..? England gave birth to football and it became a religion in South America.

That was in Brazil as well, but in a game between two tiny teams. People are murdered far too often in Brazil, so it wasn't really an event too out of the ordinary. This is a Serie A game, which makes this news particularly unusual.

Well you've been following this one closer than me guys, what does this stem from..? If I were to guess I would say that economically, Brazil is still a boom-land, but the money is not getting down to the have-nots [as usual], so is this politically aggravated or just football going potty in Brazil..?
