It is a long time since I have written a long article on this board but I have to say that yesterday was very poor from the team.

There was no committment, passing was dreadfull and for me it appeared that some of the players just could not be bothered.

The only one who put in a shift as far as I could see was Kim Bo.

You have to ask the question then just what is going on at the City?

After going to Stoke on Wednesday I really thought that we could get a decent result at Palace and whilst we were not that good on Wednesday we were far worse yesterday. You could at least blame the cold in part on Wednesday!

If the team had tried then no problem for me but they didn't today and as I said were just not interested.

In the last week I have travelled with my young Milford's over 1300 miles to watch the boys and of course that is entirely my choice but this morning after reflection I do feel disillusioned. For the first time since Malky has been in charge the crowd were singing ' Malky Malky sort them out - not heard since Mr Jones' days.

Time for a change then maybe in both manager and players because at this rate we will be back to visiting the likes of Bourenmouth, Weeds etc unless of course they come up and we stay up!

    Discuss please

As poor as we were take nothing away from Palace. They showed real desire and they were the only team that looked like scoring for most of the game. Quite worrying.

Nothing wrong with Bourenmouth Aberdude or the other grounds in the championship and I am not implying that I want malky out.

But after this last week the tactics do not appear to be working and yesterday it would appear that the team were not interested. Not just my opinion but also others.
It has taken us a long time to get to the promised land and having followed the City for nearly 40 years I for one would like to remain there. If we don't and we do go down then bouncing back will not be easy.

Maybe there are grumblings behind the scenes which of course we do not know about.

Swans fan in peace - whenever we go through a bad run, I remember that it has happened before. Every year since we've been up here it has happened and then we've gotten out of it. No matter how it might look like it isn't really clicking, that we've been worked out or the players have given up.

The thing you have to ask is: do you have faith in the ability of the manager? Do you have faith in the ability of the players? Will you be better than three teams?

In some ways, I think the rivalry between us does make both sets of fans lose perspective. If Swansea weren't in the league (or vice versa for our fans), what would you be happy with? For both, staying in the league is the aim. We should all look to do better than that, but if we stay up then we can't grumble too much - just look to build and improve the next year.

I look at the other teams and I believe that there will be three teams below you. Maybe more for us, but that means nothing as we have had a couple of years stabilising and building, so that is no fair comparison.

In all honesty, as soon as you guys got Malky I turned to my father and said "Well, that's it. They'll be joining us now." Like the players, it's a learning experience for him too. He will make mistakes, like Rodgers did for us, but I'm sure he'll grow into it.

You guys have some very good players and a very good manager - it's a matter of staying up, building experiencing and adding a few more players.

Hate to say it but blue sheep is right - sometimes you just have to credit the opposition. Pulis has them organised and they now show a real desire to win.

Your players passed it around a bit but there was nothing in the final third was there? Campbell should be shot for missing that early chance though. If you'd have gone in front it would have been different I think. No easy games in this League as you are quickly finding out.

Campbell should be shot for missing half a dozen sitters in the last 15 games. He works hard and has scored some crucial goals but hasn't half chucked away a bucket load at the same time. Notice Mackay has claimed that we need to be more clinical and I fear thats what may make a difference.

having watched MOTD it seemed the only difference between the two teams was that they took their chances and we missed ours........ still stand by the fact that we should have signed hooper....... he seems to be finding his feet and we could do with another born finisher up front to properly challenge campbell........<ok>

and therein lies your problem , we got lucky with Graham , Michu but you've spent how much on a young Danish lad who's not played and relied on Whittingham and Campbell who've both at their chances before at this level who didn't set the world on fire then ,yes you'll get the odd goal from a set piece but thats not enough I'm afraid at this level.

Sorry but I thought this thread was about your loss v Palace? But it wasn't pleasant to lose to a much inferior team Hughs but your team deserved it on the day.

We'll get our revenge in February after which we probably won't see you on the board for a fortnight. <laugh>

That said I'd happily see you do the double on us if you're 18th or lower come May <ok>

    Not true.

I remember a easy game in November and expect another in February against the same team.:D:

Against the same team that just thumped a team in 7th place 3-0? The same one that won at your place comfortably?

Let's see. Whatever the case it won't be easy for you but I guess you now know that don't you. The way things are going you could be relegated by then.

    :)

Yeah and how much more did Man City spend than us?

    Yet we beat them.
