In case anyone's still wondering what Osvaldo's vest said on it at half-time, apparently it's lyrics from this song:

Las chicas mas finas van preguntando por un rock and roll

Or "the finest girls are asking for rock and roll" if you prefer.

Sounds like a Spanish-language Rolling Stones tribute act to me!

What a madman. He also celebrated by machine-gunning our fans and hugging Pochettino. How can you not like the guy.

He's a real enigma though. Clearly someone who benefits from playing on the edge. His passion is entertaining/endearing.

Such is his class that he can produce something out of nothing, as we saw today. Big fan of his.

I am confident that in a couple of years he will have achieved legendary status among all Southampton fans. He is clearly the striker equivalent of Artur Boruc, i.e. completely bonkers, but a genius.

Completely bonkers isn't a bad thing, if they're pointed in the right direction. After a rough start Boruc seems to enjoy his place in the team (possibly too much at times, when it comes to Cruyff turns), and compared to the few times I saw him with Roma/Italy, Osvaldo seems to be positively even-keeled (dramatic hand gestures toward referees aside). He yelled at Jay in his first appearance, but his body language toward his teammates has been pretty damned excellent, which is a good sign as he settles in.

I thought he was desperately unsettled and looking to move to Delta Porte Tonne on a free in January......

Just the usual British fans expecting instant settling in and star performances from a footballer, forgetting they are humans.

We are blessed hat Pochettino has the option if swapping, blending, integrating and switching between Sir Rickie and Dani. They will be a big part of our season and it is so good to have the option. He will allow Rickie to refresh from time to time and also have the two trying hard for that starting berth.
