I picked this up from bbc, only Burnley have stopped us scoring at home. At least the crowd are seeing goals.
We're tied third for goals scored (30), only Leicester (31) and Derby (40) have scored more. Who said we weren't creative. <whistle>

Agree with you JWM, a year from now some won't remember performances but results will stick in the memory.

Another interesting stat is that we have now picked up the MOST points from losing positions in the league!

That just shows the fighting spirit that simply wasn't there before Mick arrived <ok>

Another battling performance, not pretty to watch, but who cares we won the match, not a lot of good if you play silky football all the game, and you get bullied out of it and lose, we are fast becoming the street fighters of the Championship, a team not to be messed with

This is an amazing turn around in a year. We are now hard to beat, mick sorted out the defence and as yet we haven't had an annual drubbing. Incredible to think we're tied 3rd for goals scored. When we don't have an out and out striker it proves everyone is chipping in and as a team we 're quietly going about our business, now sat in a nice position with play offs within touching distance. As supporters isn't it great to be looking forward rather than constantly looking over our shoulders. Personally I'll still be happy with a top 10 finish. If we can secure a play off place come may, I'll be bloody ecstatic.

I think I was pretty much a solo voice earlier this season saying we were creating chances, can remember getting hammered for it as well, the only problem early doors we weren't taking them...!

JWM, just to confirm, it wasn't meant as a moan just a cause of bafflement. Its very much like the old adage about not playing well and winning. That's going OTT as its not neccasarily playing badly but just amazing how we keep digging results out.

One thing to be concerned with is the right back position, when Hammill switched wings, Chambers was all at sea, and the breakthrough came when he was easily beaten for pace, if we are going to keep our form going, and progressing even higher, its a problem that needs to be sorted out, he's a central defender and at times, like today it gives an unbalanced look to the defence, not to say that he hasn't done a reasonable job, but the better teams are going to try and exploit this weakness

Good and valid points TS and I definately believe that we should recruit a recognised Right Back before too long. Having said that we also need a ball player in Midfield ala Jim Magilton, someone that can spray the ball around with the ability to keep hold of the ball when our defence is under pressure.

From what I have seen SD, not at this time.

Chambers at RB is the weak link in our defence right now, got done up like a kipper for their goal today.!

    It is one of three positions that need sorting;

RB, CM (creative) and another forward..

Massively happy today, things are really starting to come together. Just where we would be if we didn't drop those stupid points earlier on in the season.

As for what we need, im not overly concerned with RB, we have got chambo, hewitt, veseli and skuse. I would like to see another CB as cover, a creative CM, and possibly experienced GK. come Marcus, mick has done his bit now its time to do yours.

I'd like us to get Hunt signed on but other than that i'm quite happy with what we have for the rest of this season, i don't think we should be looking to sign anyone just as cover, if we do pay money for someone it should really be to strengthen the starting 11.

I'd like us to just add one or two in the summer and keep building the team spirit and togetherness amongst this group rather than having wholesale changes, But that said i have faith that MM will do whats best.

Completely agree. Chambers had an awful game today (although did improved slightly in the second half). He is playing out of position and it looked as though Huddersfield (correctly) targeted him as our weak link. Also for some reason in the first half we kept trying to play it down the right flank and Chambers just kept playing hoofball and giving possession away whenever they put him under pressure.

What has happened to Vaselli? Wasn't he mentioned as a bloody good signing in the summer? Chambers has done ok at rb but if anyone will be exploited its gonna be him. As for a creative midfielder I really thought Wordsworth was gonna step up and be that man but we've barely seen him. As Weighty says lets not just buy for sake of it,if we buy in January lets do it to strengthen the first 11 and keep this play off push going. And agree Guru, Hunt needs to be kept on too.

Graham on the right would be a good foil for Chambo's lack of attacking prowess, plus it would give the opposite teams left side something to worry about.
