Real Madrid where never interested in Suarez and that got the back up of Liverpool fans Ironically as they wanted to keep Suarez but on the flip side couldn't understand why Madrid Valued Bale so highly and practically saying he's worth twice as much as Suarez.

If Suarez can go this season without any trouble such as racism or biting which he should manage then he could change some views as people in general love to forgive a villain type character but he's at a club which suits him perfectly so maybe he will stay for a while yet.

I'd love him in our team... We wouldn't have the problems we are having.

I don't understand all these people kicking up a fuss because he bit someone...ask Defoe...I'm sure he agrees with me <whistle>

and since we are all so big with our morals I think we should start kicking out the womanising, gambling piss artists that wear our famous shirt too....I'm sure there are a few who fall into that category.

No wonder we don't ****ing win anything...the hypocrisy blinds us.

Zidane is a ****... He headbutts players...would never have liked to see him in a Spurs shirt given half the chance.

Maradona is a cocaine head... Wouldn't have touched him with a barge pole either.

But let's stick with a bunch of overpaid twats with no passion cos they are nice blokes on the pitch.

Whatever the supposed reasons and we can only guess, Liverpool have to be praised for keeping their best player, a master-stroke and they are reaping
the benefits. This seasons best player.
We destroyed a team which with couple of additions could have at worst been a champions league regular and going for the title.
Always taking the cash leaves us in constant transition . A failed policy.

You need a balance Dona, if you want to take your kids to the footie you don't need them worshiping coke snorting racist wife beating alcoholics. So, despite snorting a little myself in the past, getting **** faced many a time and spending long periods of my life permanently stoned, I'd rather not have them at Spurs. In fact I'd rather not see them in the Premiership. Winning is great but hey ho, it's not everything. You don't want your kids or indeed any kids seeing these malcontents as role models. Unfortunately we sold our best role model last season. Buts that's why he is worth twice as much as Sewerage, it's not just about football.

Racism is different. Had Suarez been full of genuine apologies and not given a story that was directly contradicted by the video footage then he could have come out of it looking like it was simply a cultural misunderstanding that he regrets. The way Suarez acted throughout made it look very different and I'm surprised people are so forgiving of it. To paraphrase Snatch, I don't care if he's Cristiano ****ing Messi, I wouldn't want him at our club.

As for a coke head, you're damn right I wouldn't want them at our club, it'll land them a long ban if they fail a piss test.

Also, Zidane had a good disciplinary record up to his famous headbutt, Suarez has been a violent twat throughout his career.

Zidane's disciplinary record wasn't that great, actually - he got a straight red for trampling a Saudi player in '98, he picked up three bookings in the 2006 WC before the final, he even gets sent off in that Zidane documentary/art film/whatever the **** it's supposed to be. In fact, his disciplinary record reads like this:
Factitious Madrid: 31 yellow 2 red
    Juventus: 23 yellow 5 red

Fair enough, I didn't remember him getting sent off so many times. Still, he's no Ramos :D

Suarez the striker is superb. Suarez the on-pitch nutter you can do without.
His WC2010 antics. The fact he had a bit a player before coming to the Poool etc.
What good is a player whose antics are always the story, and isn't available all season due to bans ??

Suarez is just a tad strange. I've never witnessed a player want to move club in the manner he wanted then after conceding defeat is an even better performer while now showing respect for the club. It may well be all a front and next summer want to move but he has at least responded in the right manner.

Suarez, Aguero Tevez and Rooney, the type of striker that has the biggest impact in terms of their drive, energy and end product in premier league football. In the meantime we stroll around the pitch at pedestrian pace and are crying out for someone to drive us forward.

I agree and understand the balanced views on his downfalls from my fellow posters. I don't understand how it would affect us too much if he was playing for us and doing the business like he is for Pool. I don't think Liverpool have suffered as a club due to Suarez's antics...yet they have certainly prospered due to his football. He's not in the media because he is an idiot caught in a club pissed up and womanising. He seems like a family man to me. I dislike the other types more...they are the ones that drag clubs and their morals through the dirt. The Pool fans are loving what Suarez is doing week in week out for them...Rodgers is fighting to keep him and his fellow team mates can't get enough of him.

Seems a bit precious to me all this hate on Suarez...the guy is world class and would be a plus for any team.

I'd take Suarez the player for 19 games a season in a heartbeat.
But like others, i'd rather we didn't have the "man".

So the gist is that we should take anyone if we think it will get us points. Presumably diving and similar antics are also acceptable?

Also very creative to find yet another way of criticising your club - pick out all the players we have been associated with that have subsequently been a success (ignore the ones that have not been) and complain that we didn't sign them.

I like to think Spurs would be less tolerant on that front, and not succumb to the material benefits such players bring.
Not much Spurs has been in the public domain, bar Defoe and his perpetual Page 3 partners, Ledley and his seemingly poor
ability to handle his drink (every photo I ever saw he looked totally - but pleasantly - out of it :) ) .

Totally agree - the comparisons with Liverpool's 'successes' are particularly absurd as we've finished above them four seasons running despite having a lower income.
I've no doubt that they have done some things better than us but they've done most things worse. Cherry-picking the best is not possible in real life

Genetically engineering Suarez striker but without nutter Suarez traits will take time.
The Academy only recently managed to manufacture a Bale clone.

Don't think so. There is what 5/6 years between Bale and Bale2? So we created him from a 5 years old Bale - incredible foresight and planning! Unless Bale2 (codename McEvoy) is a Robot?
