I don't feel West Ham have very much up front and just need to be wary of set-pieces and handling the very direct and physical style that West Ham will no doubt play. We need the win looking at the games we have after West Ham to the end of January. A tough little run. If we get an early goal the floodgates could open, however the longer it stays 0-0 we could get mugged. In their last game Joe Cole was taken off in the first half he was that bad so can't see him setting Anfield alight, and Downing has the same problem he had with us he gets past a man but there is no big man up front to cross to.
I know we will probably regret these words but they really don't have any sort of formiable attack. **** me they put Collins up top for the end of that Palace game!! But Set-pieces and just the physical nature I worry about a little bit. Sakho should help that and hopefully Coutinho will work the midfield over as well.
Trying to figure out how to get my post as the OP without deleting posts and sending dribbles into a mad rage. Edit: someone did it, cheers for that.
Team News Liverpool Kolo Toure returned from injury to take a place on the bench against Norwich in midweek and is in contention to start here. Brendan Rodgers will be tempted to name an unchanged XI after his side ran out 5-1 winners over Norwich in midweek. Lucas Leiva could come back in, but Joe Allen would be unlucky to lose his place. West Ham Guy Demel could return at right-back after being rested in midweek for the loss at Crystal Palace. Razvan Rat has returned to fitness and will start here again. Carlton Cole may drop out again, and Sam Allardyce could go with the 'no striker' formation that worked so well at Tottenham earlier in the season, particularly given how poor Cole was at Palace. Worried we will struggle with this one. Two poor performances on the trot, the 2nd of which was saved by Suarez. We really need some midfielders and wingers.
Again we really need to put a few past them. At home we should do but we have gone unpredictable again. 3-1
