Obviously not, but this lack of batting form can't go on forever................... ....................can it?
Not really, the other way actually, the were 130.. 40 odd for 1 and to have them 5 down for 270 on a batting track is good work. Need to finish them off quickly tomorrow, think Monty and Swann will be key in doing that.
I went to bed just after the first wicket so I was expecting them to get around the 270-300 mark in total
Not going too well so far. Clarke & Haddin building a nice little partnership. Need to break it quick or they'll easily get to 400 and put our fragile batsmen under more pressure.
If it carries on like this any chance of a win will be gone by lunch. Very average bowling and those drops will prove to be the killer moment by the looks of things.
No work for me tomorrow so going to try stay and watch another hour or so. See if this gets any better.
Their first innings, thy may as well get as big a score as they can. They may being able to force the follow on too then.
Nah, wouldn't enforce the follow on. Pitch is dry and on day 5 is going to be a nightmare to bat on. Been saying it's been like a day 3 pitch on day 1 so come day 5 (if it gets that far) will be horrible to bat on. They'll get 450ish here, hope to bowl us out for anything around 300 or lower then bat and get another lead of 350+ before bowling us out on the final day.
Agree with Beefy, why bowlers decide to get that close to the line is stupid. That extra 6 inches isn't going to make a difference so sort your run up so that you have plenty of leeway
