Has anyone posted that it was Gastón Ramírez's birthday on the 2nd of December..?

    He's only 23. A young whipper-snapper still.

If only you would learn the simple art of linking articles Fran we could all look at Rickie's gallery too. I can't find it.

Thanks Chilco. I genuinely didn't see it, but I was hoping Fran might just try to expand her browsing knowledge, especially as it is so simply done. Both you and I know that once she cracks it we won't be able to stop her. ;)

EDIT: The Rickie gallery was quite funny.

Don't apologise. It happens that way some times.

I agree about the film. Not a patch on the Radio or TV series, but Sam Rockwell was undeniably brilliant as he usually is. They re-arranged so much though that it didn't have the same feel.

Didn't enjoy the film version...the radio version was the funniest. Imagination is so much better than dodgy effects.

BTW, this might not be the case, but I think the server might be having another dodgy moment. If true though, it would be doing it with the usual good timing.

Marvin: The first ten million years were the worst. And the second ten million: they were the worst, too. The third ten million I didn't enjoy at all. After that, I went into a bit of a decline.

Only a skate fan could get more depressed.

Was actually trying to remember my favourite bit of the original radio series, which was easily the best of the lot, and there are so many favourite moments that I'd need pages to jot them all down. Mind you, I'd be hard pressed to think of a better moment than when Zaphod goes into the Total Perspective Vortex, knowing that his mind is going to blow, and then comes out moments later, to be greeted by an astonished Gargravaar, the TPV's custodian. It goes something like this:

    ZAPHOD:
[Says from one head to his other] I’ve got to get myself in the right frame of mind for this.

    GARGRAVARR:
[Overhearing] There is no right frame of mind.

    ZAPHOD:
You really know how to make a guy feel inadequate

    GARGRAVARR:
    I don’t, the Vortex does.

[The lift arrives and its door opens]

    GARGRAVARR:
There. The Vortex. The Total Perspective Vortex. [Dramatic voice] Enter, Beeblebrox! Enter the Vortex!

    ZAPHOD:
    [Calmly] Okay, okay.

    [The Vortex starts up]

Then we get the explanation from The Book of how mind blowingly powerful the TPV is, so there isn't going to be much of Zaphod left when he comes out of it.

    [The Vortex door opens]

    ZAPHOD:
    [Cooly] Hi.

    GARGRAVARR:
    [Astonished] Beeblebrox! You’re…!

    ZAPHOD:
Fine, fine. Could I have a drink please?

    GARGRAVARR:
    You’ve been in the Vortex?!

    ZAPHOD:
    You saw me kid.

    GARGRAVARR:
And you saw the whole infinity of creation?!

    ZAPHOD:
The lot baby - it’s a real neat place you know, heh-heh.

    GARGRAVARR:
And you saw yourself in relation to it all?!

    ZAPHOD:
    Yah, yeah, yeah.

    GARGRAVARR:
And what did you experience?! [echoes of sentence]

    ZAPHOD:
It just told me what I knew all the time: I’m a really great guy! DIDN'T I TELL YA BABY? I AM ZAPHOD BEEBLEBROX !!

    -------------------------------------------------

    Superb stuff..! :)

Probably from Archer, just a hunch.

On another topic, it would be nice if not606 could stop telling me I'm IP banned when I'm on trains.
