Terrortwat? The second part is self explanatory. As for "terror"? About as terrifying as a bunch of girl guides making daisy chains. If we had an award for "knob of the month" he is a clear leader with only 4 days on the clock.
Well that's my original dilemma out the way with. Now for another one. Should we sacrifice Campbell for Cornelius tonight as we enter the land of the giants?
Turned off at half time to watch some catch up tv. It was really poor. How did city lose to WHU on day one? Presume they were overawed but we have to beat them at CCS next month surely. Hopefully City can burst Palaces bubble on Saturday but TB F they have only conceded 1 goal in 3 now but admittedly versus Hull, Norwich & WHU.
No. Even if Cornelius does start which I dont believe will or should happen then Campbell should still play. Probably on the right as theres no way we can play 442. Id bring in Bellamy for Kim as the only change.
i didnt know the game was this wednesday! anyway 2 huge games here, should we go for the win and go 2 up front? malky wont but i'd like to see odemwingie start on the wing with campbell up front, and keep cowie on the bench....... we should be able to deal with stokes physicality so this is a must not lose game for us...
Didn't watch it, but from what I've seen of both so far this season, West Ham are far better than Palace although they can blow hot and cold to say the least. I expect them to come good especially when they finally get Carroll back - he could make all the difference up front for them. Strangely enough, I'm not dissappointed that Palace won. They may start thinking they're better than they really are for our visit on Saturday. As far as tonight is concerned, Campbell must start and be given a chance to get on the end of something other than a 50 yard punt. He is not a holdup man and needs the quick ball over the top or through the middle from closer range - the guy has been hung out to dry. I wouldn't play Bellamy from the start either - he wont' last unless he's played up front with Campbell, and no way will Malky do that. I also can't join in with this constant praise for Cowie lately. He's played OK, that's at best, other times he's been pretty anonymous. I'd start Noone and Gunnar tonight, but I bet Malky wont.
A bit of shock and awe and a bit of getting to know one another. When Caulker drives forward now, someone drops in to cover. That understanding wasn't there which caused one of the goals. He went forward, lost the ball and they capitalised. Not blaming him as he is effective at it, but we are now more of unit. As for ITI's comment, yes, Cornelius to start with a change early in the second half to give them something different to worry about. I've a vested interest in him starting, I've predicted him to score. This is a game we need to go out to win rather than not lose.
Malky has said Corney is not fit enough to start yet. 60 minutes v. Yeovil and a few odd minutes in the last 2 games is not enough to make a successful Prem debut. If needed I hope he gets on earlier tonight to start having an influence on games. There must be doubts about Bellers' ability at this level. We have recognised he does not have the initial 10 yard sprinting pace of old but he seems to have lost some confidence on the back of this. I very much hope I am wrong but you would have thught he would have been tailor made to get on in the last 2 big games. For midfield alongside Pitbull the choice is Cowie or Gunnar. Gunnar hasn't had a great start but could have been affected by his efforts for Iceland. He is more likely to give us a goal scoring threat than Cowie. However, much of Cowie's work goes unnoticed with his marking and covering. he actually got forward well v. the Mancs but was more withdrawn and less positive v. Arsenal. It all depends on Malky's views on the need for 1 or 2 holding midfield players. If just one then we could have 4 in front with Whitts, Mutch, Kimbo plus Odem or Bellers or Noone - much more attack minded. However, it is likely to be Medel plus one of Gunnar or Cowie to start.
Bellamy had a very good game versus swansea but before hat and since he has been average. I expect him to play tonight given there will be changes with 2 games in 4 days. I don't want to see Cowie play constantly but tonight may well be one of those games when his running around will be useful (saying that he has scored in last 2 games at Palace so omen wise perhaps he should play Saturday) I expect to see a line up of Marshall Taylor, Caulker, Turner and KTC Bellamy, Medel, Whittingham, Mutch and Cowie Campbell If 0-0 or losing on the hour mark, then bring on Noone and Cornelius BUT leave Campbell on. Why did MM take him off so earlly on Saturday???????????????
Ahhhh, bless...he thinks he's done a funny. Of course it didn't occur to me when I picked my username that somebody with a terrible sense of humour would corrupt it to Terrortwat, did it Captain Obvious? As you seem to think jokes need explaining blue balls; Blue balls - the excruciating pain a man receives when his balls swell to the size of coconuts because of lack of sex. Apt isn't it. Can I have 'knob of the year' please?
