Cowie just looks miles better than Gunner at this level. More mobile , better on the ball.

I wouldnt have Gunner on the bench at the moment let alone starting. I just dont see what he can offer on his season form. I can just see him conceding needless free kicks.

Id leave Noone on the bench but introduce him earlier if we are losing , same with Cornelius.

Really we need 2 new wide players and a left back.
 
I think we should be going for 9 points from our next 3 games.

Declan John apparently starting tonight. My bet is that will bring Bellamy into the side.

Cant see Noone or Kim playing there.

There's nothing wrong with the craic - it's what you should expect on a multi-club public forum. The problem once again is that a very decent footballing thread has been derailed yet again by visiting posters.

It's happened before and action was taken. I wouldn't want to see that again, so let's confine it to the OBVIOUS provoking threads like that of JH and Swampy. No offence to those two lads - we need that sort of thing in moderation, but FFS leave these decent threads alone guys. <ok>

Hilts - stop making sensible football comments on here although you are completely wrong about Gunnar and Cowie (just my opinion).

Cowie is played in an attempt not to lose - Gunnar can win you games from nothing. I will admit that Gunnar has had a very poor spell like last season, but that's just the time to put him back on the pitch after being sidelined - he wont have liked that.

Noone to start (although he wont) would be a statement of intent to the rest of the team.

I cannot see us getting anything tonight, our home form has collapsed, and Toon are really on form, I think the best we can hope for is a draw, but if we lose, which I think we will, get ready for blood on the carpet, and Dai looking for Laudrup's head!.................<laugh>

Could John be starting left midfield? He gets up and down the line well and would be good going forward.

I thought I saw him kicking around with the subs at half time Saturday?
