All our national teams rely too much on individual talent and don't put the right effort in to get the details right. Except for cycling and rowing.
English sport has another problem - relying on the same names for far too long. Be it the football team clinging to members of the only Golden Generation in football history not to reach a single tournament semi-final (be it senior, U18 or U21), the RFU selectors using the 2003 team that didn't retire even though they were past it or (in the case of Jonny Wilkinson) habitually injured, or Bradley Wiggins' dramatic loss of form post-Bollympics (especially in this years' Tour de France), they all flog them even though they have passed their useful life.
I see we now have a ladies team.Perhaps our boys can give 'em a few games to improve their confidence......but it's a scary thought,we might lose!!!!!!?
SPOTY time again. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/sports-personality/25017298 Can't see past Murray given the hype of a first Wimbledon win in 77 years. Froome 2nd, Farah 3rd.
A shame that Christine Ohuruogu is nominated, that means we're not supposed to remember she's a drug cheat...
Was driving back from work other week and couldn't pick up radio five live properly, could manage talk sport and I've never heard so many laughable commentators and football related talk. Had me in stitches but I now know why it's called talkshite!
Spurs fans are saying what i said,he',s changing the players to much,he needs a settled eleven, that he thinks is his best team, and give them a run of games, win or lose,so they can get some understanding
Just seen the replay of Hudd's almost goal today, which was given as a Skrtel deflected own goal. How he didn't get it on target from that range is mind boggling... The lives on
