Aww, what's the matter, upset that the best you could do was con a naive immigrant into spending £50m on a player your club had ruined?

The problem with all clubs letting their history define themselves is that, at the end of the day, some day you will be like the Forest fans banging on about winning the European Cup...whilst playing in the third tier.

Nope, Spurs fans logic is that LFC's history isn't relevant so keeping to that unwritten rule i'm merely stating that as things stand now Spurs are pants in the league and have a bad GD, if you want to ignore that truth and deflect your clubs current plight by using history as a get out clause you're breaking your own rule;

Thing is, you're basing that one one game.

By that logic, Cardiff's four points off the Manchester clubs makes them a shoo-in for Champions league football.

Also, there is the issue about who else bases that week's football talk on one game: everyone's favourite phone-hacking affront to journalism, The Sun.

You're forgetting, though, Kate, that this entire thread is about 'Pool, not Spurs. Why, on a thread that is entirely about 'Pool, would we want to start banging on about Spurs?

You are the one doing the deflecting, by trying to steer the discussion off-topic.

So, please, let's concentrate on 'Pool's woes. If you want to engage in any discussion regarding Spurs' lack of form, there are plenty of threads for that, on this board. And, I can very much assure you, that there are very few of us Spurs fans ignoring any "truth," as you will see, if you only take the opportunity to look, instead of wumming.
 
Why on earth indeed, but you do.

However when asked to keep the conversation current you lads bring history into it, can't think why really but as things stand we are doing fine and hoping to continue our improvement.

Carroll had showed more promise in the PL before we splashed on him than Lamela had shown in the ****ty italian league. He looks too lightweight, I'm happy for you to bookmark and for me to be proved wrong, but I reckon AVB has splashed on a few duds this summer
