That bastard comet still refuses to appear. Last night I set the alarm again, and in the cloudless night sky, around 6.45am I could see... nothing. Oh I could see stars, but no comet. Had a heart fluttering moment when I saw a trail just a couple of degrees above the horizon [my local horizon is about 3-4 degrees above true zero] with the naked eye, which wasn't dispelled by binoculars. Pointed the telescope at the thing and at that closeness of view one could see two trails that were just moving directly away from me. Bloody jet passenger aircraft..! Looked quite good though, lit from the pre-dawn Sun. Spent the emerging dawn watching bats flying up and down the garden and trying to get updates on where that bloody thing is. Truth is, it's so close to the Sun now that it can barely be seen from this latitude, and I'm certainly not putting an eye to the telescope as the Sun peeps over the horizon. Might take a picture of the very pretty sky though.

 

Confession to make...I've started watching I'm a Celebrity Haven't watched it for years but had to as my son's lovely girlfriend follows it. It's like being off drugs for years then taking just the one hit.....can't do any harm, can it? The people in it often surprise you....Joey Essex from TOWIE (never watched it, someone explain to Godders what it is ) is a team player who will do anything and doesn't mind being covered in yuk. David Emmanuel is very kind. And Victor Simone is a posturing Italian who loves himself (okay, that one isn't a surprise). I feel better getting that off my chest....I couldn't stay in the closet for ever.

Bookies have slashed the odds on Twitcher getting the Spurs job from 66/1 to second favourite. Surely Levy isn't that stupid!

 

We are fine ones to talk, but you have to give managers a chance. I don't think Redknapp deserved to be sacked, but what is the point in going back...he's already shown at QPR that he isn't a great manager.

Leighton Baines has a broken toe which will put him out for 6 weeks. Sad for him but potentially good news for us.

 

Actually could be as little as 10 days but could be as much as 6 weeks. You can't say he's out for 6 weeks because he might not be.

 

Can you imagine a player with a newly recovered toe getting close to Wanyama? Ouch!

The Lost Prophets guy has pleaded guilty.

 

He should get at least 20 years in prison. Knowing the British legal system, he will be out in less than 10.

 

Depends what he actually did. He's not accused of having actually raped anyone, but he was supposedly "plotting" to. Also he apparently possessed a lot of child porn. I guess it'll depend on the extent of these two things.

Edit: oh, apparently he's also admitted to making child porn. Okay, that'll be a hefty sentence.

 

I don't think the law should differentiate between watching child porn and actually being involved yourself...after all a voyeur creates a market for it and therefore commissions the crime.
