Martinez, actually a manager that you know I admire, spoke some utter ****e after the game yesterday. I don't blame him at all for saying Everton deserved to win (I beg to differ as we were away, but there you go), but after a shaky start by defending Mirallas because he had his eyes closed for the tackle (!), he then moved on to decry all three Liverpool goals as they were from set pieces (without a ****ing hint of irony) and then wrapped it up by whimpering that Gerrard moved the ball for the free kick, again without any irony considering that Baines had done precisely the same in the first half. As I posted last night, it's not taken him long to get into the one-eyed bitter routine. :emoticon-0104-surpr

You are playing good football though. <ok>

  2. More astonishing is, who would have thought Wes Brown would come up with such a good old fashion style tackle...? <yikes>

What a bummer! I watched a ****ing boring F1 race and was then involved in other things for most of the evening whilst Tobes has spent a whole thread demonstrating what a complete dickhead he truly is. He makes claims that he cannot support. He had no way of knowing what Distan thought (that's if Distan is capable of thought). He has no way of knowing what Gerrard's intentions were in the Barry incident (after all those 2 have been friends for a long time). He must surely be the worlds leading lip reading expert to be able to define what the physio did or did not say and on and on.

    Stay home Tobes it's embarassing.

I've read the thread Tobes and you slate the physio and then do exactly what he did. You chirped on about the non Gerrard incident. What would you be saying if it was the Everton physio being prevented from getting to one of your players? You'd be having an angina by now...

...Turn it in Tobes, you're wrong and you know it mate!

Prevented? He wasn't 'prevented' from doing anything.

To the rest of you blinkered kopites who seemingly want to believe anything other than the actual reality given some of the tripe posted yesterday.

I sat & closely watched the incident again last night & before arguing with me on this one, try actually doing the same yourselves.....

Suarez is down, a crowd of players surround the referee, Dowd is talking to face to face with Barry with Jagielka & McCarthy stood behind him. The Everton players are obviously fearful that he's going to (rightly) show Mirallas a red.

The Physio appears & comes up behind Dowd, leans towards him & you can clearly see him saying "it's a red" twice into his ear. McCarthy, Jagielka & Barry ALL hear him & go ape. Barry grabs his jacket & Dowd looks round bemused.

Whether this had any relevance to Dowd's decision only he knows, but my suggestion that the physio could have inadvertently spared Mirallas, due to Dowd not wanting to be seen to be influenced by a comment from Liverpools bench was totally valid.

The facts are simple, the physio clearly says "it's a red", there was no 'mishearing' of what he said, there was no 'preventing' of him doing his job (lol @ that one) & the ultimate result was Mirallas got away with a yellow, IMO (note IMO) I think if Dowd was still in 2 minds at the point the physio spoke to him, then that could have swayed him.

Given the previous in this fixture i.e. Gerrard telling 'our Mark' to send off Hibbert when he was going for a yellow card & the uproar that followed it. Then it'd hardly be a surprise if Dowd didn't fancy a potential repeat.

Remember - watch it before coming back with yet more tripe please.

You don't need to be any from of expert to see what was said, try actually watching it before wading in gramps.

  10. I have (finally watched Saturdays MOTD last night <laugh>) and I still maintain that the crowd of players were in his way. However, the was already somebody treating Luis and he was the second guy to help. We don't know what he said (it could have been "move away" or "its a red") but the reaction of the Everton players suggests he said something in an attempt to influence the refs decision (that's not me agreeing with you on the influence part, nothing should effect the refs thoughts other than the game). Although, I will add, what if the players didn't hear what the physio said? Surely they would take the assumption that he was attempting to influence the ref? Would that not get a reaction too? Only Barry reacted, the others were sheep!

You've seen my comment in the alehouse thread. Even Gerrard said it was a tough angle for Dowd to see the complete severity of the foul.

You've either not watched it again or not close enough, if you're peddling that.

They all reacted at the same moment & they reacted to him clearly saying "it's a red" TWICE <doh>

Even Dowd looked stunned at what he was hearing.

A Liverpool official whispering in his ear ffs.

I think you know me to be pretty reasonable as it goes. I have looked at the elbow several times, and I find it hard to read any intent into it. Mirallas was a different kettle of fish altogether.

I knew this would turn into a slagging match. I've looked at the elbow incident several times, and I don't believe there was intent. Mirallas? Different kettle of fish altogether. And you know I'm pretty reasonable Tobes.

  17. I agree. Tobes seems to think I care but I'm just offering a alternative angle. I couldn't give a **** what the physio said, the only thing that does matter is the incorrect decision from the ref.

I'd have preferred the physio to kick the **** out of Miralles TBH <laugh>

Or at least slapped him with the magic sponge! <laugh>

If the ref changed to yellow because our physio said "Everton are ****" or whatever then thats incompetence again

The ref made the wrong call, doesnt matter what our physio said does it

Any decision you could argue is tried to be influenced from the bench, managers constantly throw arms up etc and argue with 4th official

    Ref ****ed up, the end

you imagine the mock outrage on here if Luis had got away with what APPARENTLY wasn't a red (i know you said it was red tobes)

also the bullshit the media would have printed, also gone quite on the diving front as well the fecking hypocrites.

any update on some of the shocking decisions this weekend by the refs, ie any more apologies made lol

I've never said anything other than it was a red, as it was, pure & simple.

My point was that your physio could have inadvertently contributed to Dowd's wrong call. Sorry I thought this was a forum for football discussion?
