Typically, Roy has come out and claimed that Mirallas deserved a red card, yet quickly diverted from and defended Gerrard`s elbow. Gerrard does this quite regularly and continues to get away with it (remember the deliberate elbow from behind on Bale at Klanfield last season), along with his diving.

Gerrard knows that Liverpool loving referees will not send the England captain off and always give him the benefit of doubt (perks of the position I suppose), and so plays on this fact.

As for Sewerez, has Roy Rodgers not seen the long list of intentional dangerous tackles that he has committed and got away with unpunished, and he continues to tiresomely bleat on about Goofy`s phantom and non existent victimisation by referees (if anything referees are all to quick to fall for Goofy`s diving and over reacting).

its quite clear frim that post you never saw the game, there simply was no elbow whatsoever.

and the mereles tackle (if you could call it that ) was brutal to say the least, still not enough to stop Luis though. :D

don't analyse games from the radio, you sound stupid. :)

It was a nasty high tackle that drew blood. If it hadn't had been on suarez it would have been a red.

And the "elbow" was non existant, it was a coming together, and not even the commentators gave it a second thought.

The commentators never gave the intentional elbow from behind on Bale last season a second thought either.

Got to say, that I think there are a few teams that are going to start reeling 'Pool in, now, in the league.

Still, it's been an impressive start for 'Pool, one that I never expected them to make, that's for sure. It certainly gives Roy something to build on for the future.

That's if Goofy stays, of course.

just like you're reeling Arsenal in, 8 points now. Thought there had been a power shift in north london? Evidently not

*ambitious clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal need a fantastic, unique individual like Suarez

...and only desperate, jealous individuals need to use nicknames like 'Sewerez' as if it's a scathing indictment of character <doh>.

Indeed. In fact, I understand that it's one constant party on the back-streets of Merseyside, with Mousers dancing non-stop to the strains of Cilla and Gerry, in their shell-suits and trainers.

Someone should have a word with your medical staff. It seems Lloris is still suffering from concussion.
