So if footballers were bought off the supermarket shelf, clubs like Millwall will have to shop at LIDL for a new striker and we would shop at Waitrose........................if we wanted to

So an end to inflated wages, which let's face it is the only reason a player would go to Leeds, meaning players deciding to go elsewhere <yikes>

So an end to every other club paying inflated wages as Leeds only spent 50% of income,we can carry on.

I'll refer you to my comment at 5.09pm to Mighty, MFC<ok>
you cant have it both ways

Well in that case should be good news for both of us <ok>

Not that spending all that money did Leicester or Cardiff any good! <laugh>

Norwich & QPR took advantage of it though.

Didn't think Norwich had been spending more than they should, bit late now but they will probably get relegated next year if thats any consolation <ok> ignore the £40m for failure to stay up

Rocky's right lads,
there'll be a lot of brown envelopes being purchased very soon

Norwich have a lot of debt, gambled as did cardiff boro, and others on promotion and the money that brings.
No-one will be able to pay bigger wages than Leeds, which a fair few do at the moment.

<cheers> chesh
yes you can but 60% max leaves you 10% to buy players work it out yourself <ok>

10% of our income is quite a lot m8, 40,000 members paying £40 each before a ball is kicked.

we just sold Morison to Norwich because we got a fee, he had 2 yrs left on his contract.suppose next year Leeds want to buy a player and he is under contract, you may offer bigger wages to attract him thats good for the player, but the club want a fee. if youve spent 50 percent of your 60 allowance on wages you cant do it <ok> you can cut your wages which gives you more money to spend which is good for the selling club, but less wages to the player,
im sure Bates will bring in extra revenue next season with the excuse if you want us to buy players we need to generate a higher income,,,,,whos going to pay THE FANS.

Not sure you've got it right m8,the 60% is just a wage thing, not including transfers.as far as i know.

in that case then i cant see that there will be any change for any club...surley no club payes more than 60 percent in wages or do they ?
