It was Etruria. The Etruria works, established by Josiah Wedgewood, was the first factory in the World to employ over 1,000 workers in one place. The Wedgewood pottery museum now stands on the same site. Upon the closure of the railway station it is now served by Stoke On Trent and Longport.
