I think the answer to your question Cologne is Etruria.

Looks as if Bloother was rightfully done out of asking the next question, so if I am right he can set the next one.

It was Etruria. The Etruria works, established by Josiah Wedgewood, was the first factory in the World to employ over 1,000 workers in one place. The Wedgewood pottery museum now stands on the same site. Upon the closure of the railway station it is now served by Stoke On Trent and Longport. I don't know who goes next, either yourself or Bloother - whoever is quicker.

... are you sure? ... I thought that Etruria lies somehwere through a very long wardrobe ... probably purchased from IKEA as there always appears to be snow on the other side ... sure I saw a documentary on it the other day? ... rather bizarrely David Attenbrough was narrating in a Beaver costume ...

Ok, a bit of a geeky question and one for some Google research.."What is the geographic connection between the Daughter of The Spear Brandisher and the invention of the modern day CRO". A bit of a complex question, but some fun for the would-be researcher!

The inventor of the CRO (cathode-ray oscilloscope) was Karl Ferdinand Braun. He was a professor at Karlsruhe - the daughter of the spear brandisher could come from Athena - but in order to fit in with Braun i'll say it comes from the Valkyrie name Hildr - so the connection could be the Rhine ?
