Had some good ones Saturday with a nice yellow curry sauce. Dynamite!!! Due to coaching I ate a lot of bread and potatoe Saturday, felt useless!
I don't do curry sauce with chips, normally just go with salt and vinegar really. TBH, I'm not a big fan of chips. Anyway, stop derailing
Whatever you say sheep!!! I AM MY OWN PERSON! Mulumbu backed up why he would be a good pickup against Chelsea on the weekend.
We were linked with him a while ago, maybe under Dalglish, but nothing happened from it. Interest just sorta faded away. I think there are better options out there
Think there are better options but think we could get him for a good price....I have seen a few sociedad games and he is by far the standout player. He is suspended from the french national team though for a year. Not sure why.
Mulumbu is reachable, realistic, and cost friendly. As you say, others are out there but would we push the boat out and spend bigger on it?
He's fine as a rotation/backup option. That's all we need imo. Lucas, for some reason, seems to have alot of critics this season. I think he's playing well despite carrying a bloke and their zimmer frame around the pitch. There's a reason Rafa wants him over at Napoli. Cracking player who isn't as defensive as others nor as creative as the Alonso's, but is a nicely balanced player. We'll miss him if he's sold, replaced or pushed to the bench.
I wouldn't mind Mulumbu in January and then possibly a bigger name in the summer. My big gripe on the team has been the midfield for awhile and would like to see real real quality in there ( differing postitions of course) or at least help, good help. Depending on Suarez, we could do with another Winger/Striker and for me a no10 ( although Suso could do well here too).
I agree that Lucas has had to cover more ground because of Gerrard however, he has been poor by his own standards. I think he has won around 50% of duels which is very poor considering his position and purpose. His positioning, concentration levels and defensive ability have been poor this season for whatever reason. He hasn't got the bite of Mascherano, nor does he have the technical ability of Alonso - he's a jack of all trades. In the right system, he is perfect. In the current system, it's not working out for him. However, I do think he is a solid squad player to have in the team, plus he's dedicated, professional and hard working. We must remember that he's not a natural DM either. The perfect player for this role is M'Vila or Matic. We have scouted both of these players and there is a definite interest, however we may be priced out for Matic. M'Vila only moved to Russia last January but the club would be willing to sell for under £15m IMO. In terms of an attacker, Griezmann is a talented player but I would like Konoplyanka - now he is special and has performed every time I see him. He is extremely quick with the ball at his feet (not just another Walcott who knocks it a few yards and sprints after it), skilful and hard-working.
Good luck with that. You'd have to spend a fortune to get him. Cheaper options abroad. Not as good options of course, but cheaper.
almost as believable as us getting Lamalla (spelling?) as well lol great players but no reason for saints to sell, have a team there they can work on, huge potential.
Schneiderlin is a decent player but there is no pressure on him playing for club like Southampton, I could see him being another Joe Allen if we signed him as in it would probably take him a season to get used to playing with pressure to win every week.
