Isn't that Matic the guy Chelsea gave to Benfica as part of Luiz deal and now we're being quoted £30m?

Never seen him play to be fair so no idea, but these Portuguese clubs know how to make some serious profit on their players.

Yes and yes. He is quality, he would make us better, but 30 mil is highway robbery, there is the same level of talent out there for cheaper.

Brendan Rodgers will ask Liverpool's owners for two big January signings to deliver Champions League football with Greek forward Konstantinos Mitroglou, 25, high on the list of targets.

I can't see us playing 3-5-2 forever, it's more a short term fix for our current team. He'll go back to his 4-3-3 when he gets the right personel

  7. true. Its a result of an inbalanced sqaud; lots that can play at CB and not many wide players.

Because our CBs were better wide forward options

You mean no wide forwards were better wide forward options.

I think our system is as it is to allow Suarez and Sturridge to play side by side and Coutinho central.

Those three will drift around the pitch regardless of the formation. Coutinho will always look to find the central pockets, Suarez will always come deep to create something or look to pick it up and turn and Sturridge will always find the channels.

Our formation just dictates where the other 7 outfield players play and how to utilise them to get the most of the forward three.

January - strengthen central midfield and possibly 1 more attacker

    Summer - strengthen fullback areas

I thought Enrique looked very positive when he came on considering how little he's played this season. Johnson has great elements to his game but still infuriates me with how often an attack breaks down with him because he thinks he's Pele and tries to take on too many people or do a stupid turn.

    LB yes, backup to Enrique.
    RB yes, competition for Johnson.

Liverpool are monitoring Southampton's Jay Rodriguez, 24, but Arsenal are also said to be impressed by the striker, who was called into the England squad this week.

What does every one think of Willian at Chelsea?

I know he hasnt had much chances but he does not look like a £30m player.

Never wanted him at anything close to that price. Not surprised he's looking pretty average at Chavski.

haven't seen him play for them yet, but going by what others are saying doesn't look worth the money.

wonder how long it will take him to justify his price tag like Torres sort of not really has lol

Think Willian has a lot of ability but needs to play in a side where he's a big player, and allowed the freedom to do what he wants.

He would've been afforded a better chance here than at Mourinho's Chelsea.
