Seconded. gets my vote. Dont forget Anthony Gardner as well also at the Wendies. But surprise surprise he is injured AGAIN.!!!
That's good to hear. I think SB needs to have the option of re calling him, but maybe we can hold off for a while yet as we now have Sagbo, Graham, Gedo and Prozzy available. For me Sagbo is the most promising option and I still have high hopes for Gedo when he gets match-fit. Graham has everything to his game except goals and personally I would like Bruce to give him a bit more game time (although time is running out to get that elusive goal). Prozzy hasn't proved he should be considered as anything more than a last resort. So with options still available it would be better to keep Fryatt improving at Wednesday, but ready to come back if goals dry up.
A match fit Gedo would have made it 3-1 @ Spurs in the coc. Shame sadly. Now Spurs manager AVB moaning about all the games Spurs have to play between the 23rd November and Jan 5th. Pathetic.
Tickles... Fryatt slow in thought? I know your an old bar steward but I hadn't realised you'd gone senile! Fryatts quick thinking and intelligence on the pitch makes him the player he is, with him lacking in just about every physical attribute a footballer might need.
Having read that - the more I think about it, the more I think its possible... initially I didn't think we'd stand a chance. He needs football to have a chance to get into England squad. He knows spurs aren't interested anymore. We must look like a reasonable bet relegation-wise. Gets to work with an English Manager and 2 old team mates - who have flourished after not getting much football. Will he leave London though?
Not necessarily. He's still in the forthcoming England squad even though he's not a regular starter for Spurs. So long as that's the case I reckon he'll stay at WHL....
The way our team is set out we need someone up front who can hold the ball up. Fryatt gets knocked off the ball too easily and tends to be very predicatable.
he has recently stated he regretted leaving west ham, west ham are short on numbers and going by reports avb wants him out to make way for someone else...quite strong argument for my previous comment
He's not far off. Fryatt isn't pacy (he isn't sluggish, mind), he isn't overly strong either. His first touch is often poor and his heading isn't brilliant. Those are all physical attributes that footballers need to have. What Fryatt does have is the ability to get into areas of goalscoring opportunity, a poacher, if you like. That's something that our current strikers aren't doing enough and comes from having a good footballing brain. Oh. And..... *you're.
iI agree, If you give me the choice between the two - give me Rhodes. However, Rhodes will cost minimum £6m and probably more whilst Fryatt is on our books - give the lad a chance, will only cost us his wages. But my main point is that we can't have the mentality 'only proven in the championship' for one player and 'proven in the championship, should do well in premiership' for another.
Dont be too sure. The money they are paying out for Andy Carroll etc etc. AC maybe back in January though. One has a much better chance of PL success than the other. Sadly Fryatt is the latter. Hence why Fryatt is not PL standard. What Fryatt is doing now may help us get alot more for him in Jan then we would have done. Gedo is the better option to Fryatt once we can get him match fit. That is what was said by many about Huddlestone and Livermore.
Fryatt has just scored 4 goals in 6 games, Proschwitz didn't manage that in 27 games last season, he's a much better player and we should offer to swap them.
All this talk of gedo match fit What is he doing during the v week I think its a case of brucey not wanting to select him Hence choosing prozzy against 9 men
