MY MISS LUCY 3.40 Towcester is highly regarded by the yard and despite a 607 day lay off she can return with a win at Towcester. Seen to best effect on slower ground she will relish conditions at the Northamptonshire track. She was last seen in a listed Mares bumper at Sandown behind CALL ME A STAR but she picked up a pelvis injury and has not been seen since. The absence is always a worry but the yard recently proved it doesn't stop them having one ready.

In the bumper that follows I am really sweet on the chances of ANDA DE GRISSAY 4.10. Anthony Honeyball bought this one at Arqana in the Summer and reportedly he has looked pretty decent at home. They have some good yardsticks to bumpers at the yard and I expect this one to be solidly backed. Does wear a tongue tie for his debut but that barely tempers my enthusiasm. It doesn't look a great race in all honesty and this is definitely the yard for the job!

Surely Down Ace has the stronger form in da book, with O'Briens' yard going well, its a big ask to beat that one.....

Morning, pilgrims. One for me today and that is in the ‘lucky last’ at Towcester (4.10). PITTER PATTER, what a lovely name for a filly by the way, is a very nicely bred one being by Nayef and out of a Pivotal mare. The dam was unbeaten on the track (albeit from just 2 runs) whilst Pitter Patter’s half-sister has also obliged on the level (on racecourse debut as well). Fergal O’Brien knows what to do when he gets a nice one and the stable are in good heart as 2 out of their last 5 runners have obliged. Pitter Patter seems to have a lot going for her today and I regard current odds of 6/1 as more than fair.

Stick, disappointing to hear about your old fave, Bouggler. Still at least he’s had the good fortune to get out of the game in one piece and as the Racing Post say ‘he’s owned by a syndicate who adore him and he’ll have a very nice life’. I’m sure I speak for everyone when I wish the old boy a happy retirement.

    All the best, troops.

Forgot to mention BEST BOY BARNEY who makes his fencing bow at Towcester this afternoon (2.40). Named after me he has one piece of outstanding form over hurdles, a few OK pieces and a similar number of dire efforts. Races here off just 108 and if in the same mood as he was at Newbury last December ought to go very, very, and I do mean very, very, close (finished in very close proximity, that day, to the Hendo pair of Chatterbox and My Tent or Yours who are now rated 143 and 160 respectively).

Hopefully fences will reinvigorate the old boy and 14’s is available. But which BB Barney will turn up?!? You pays your money and takes your chance on this one.

    Morning all
2 at tow and 2 at mus today only small for intrest
    140 tow glenwood prince
    210 tow hollow penny
    3.00 mus foot th bill
330 mus any given moment 7s have been available on thiswhich in my eyes is ludicrously big , ueueteotl look very weighted easy reach looks weighted aswell , merchant of dubai looks weighted and the distance might be to much ,red eyes looks far to weighted,
bogside 2nd fav I'm not convinced with the distance , abbey garth the fav looks weighted and the trip is a test , ballyreesobe at 20s looks big was pulled up on last outing but I expect that was due to the lay off so I would say with the claimer the will definaltly out run their odds , weybridge light is another that looks big at 12s but im obviously siding with anygiven moment last win was with ryan onboard loves the track and the weight looks ok .
    good luck all

Wouldn't be surprised if Castle Combe showed a bit of improvement today,
..... but have had a few Noggy Bucks on Derfenna Art 2.50 Linfield. Think this one could be primed to strike, on a decent mark and 5/1 seems fair enough.
    Good luck all!

Afternoon all. Dreadful racing today but in the 1.25 at Thurles I think QUITO DE LA ROQUE will outstay Realt Dubh to land the feature race 9/4 is a fair enough price

I'm guessing Oddy will be on Kris Spin next up ......................

The McCoy mount for me, doubling up on all his mounts until his 4000 - so I'm hoping it's soon!

A classic McCoy ride gets him the 4,000, congrats to the champ!

Was on Kris Spin myself but tbh just glad all the talk of McCoy reaching the 4000 is over now and I'd imagine McCoy is the same
