Listen Knackered Norway started the rubbish, and I continued his 'rubbish' so do yourself a favour and look to the source of the Rubbish first before going off half cocked, and if everyone is entitled to an opinion, then why is Norway blasting them for it you numpty! "Listening on the radio says it all". Exactly what is "all"? If you are implying that I only listened to the game, get your facts right please. I went to my club, saw the game there with my mates and tuned in the radio to get the summary and further opinion on the way home. You see, I like to get as many views as possible.

I have since seen MOTD where the pundits unanimously endorsed my opinion. They also did a piece on Medel and his industry was exactly what our lot was missing. In other words he did his job with passion and skill. Well played, that man - shoved Rangel's comments where the sun don't shine.

Ivor, absolutely spot on. These guys are professionals and are payed very well for what they do. If today's performance was them trying their best to win it for the fans then we are in trouble. The win against Valencia, with a performance to be proud of, seems too far away. We seem very stale and lacking ideas, and if we don't turn this around quickly, the pressure will start to build. A tough game in Russia, followed by Stoke, will test the backbone of this team, and I think will give us a good idea of who is up for the fight ahead.

Im as objective as most on here ,in fact Ivors words could well have been my own, but im sorry to say that the OP smacks of a lack of class and so does the title of the thread.

I understand people are pissed off with the manner of the defeat but sometimes it happens, im sure the Swans didn't want to lose the game and in fairness to the team they have not been playing great for a while so to lose this wasn't totally unexpected by me .

You can see how people are becoming detatched from reality when you look at their score predictions. Cardiff have spent more of the season above us than below us,they have also spent more money on players than we have, harsh but true .

Throw in home advantage then you can see why they sneaked the win, they didn't have a shot on target until very late on so some perspective wouldn't go a miss <ok>

Im sure when people start reading things through in the next couple of days it will be easier to be objective and not emotional .

As for us having exceptional footballers, well id stick by that ,they are guys at the top of their profession . we have international players all over the park from Holland, england,Spain,Ivory coast and Wales .

They have strengths others don't have, others have strengths we don't have, sometimes the other teams strengths come out on top , that's life get over it <ok>

When we play teams we don't expect them to roll over - we expect to work for a victory. But that's what happened to us yesterday - we got turned over because we didn't put a shift in for in the second half. And forget about the radio red herring - I was at the game and most fans there will tell you it was unacceptable.

And the same fans would have found it perfectly acceptable if it finished 0-0

I will give my own objective opinion later on today when the dust has settled but I found the hysteria after the game was over the top and emotional rather than rational.

Fair enough I suppose it's an emotional game <ok>

"the OP smacks of a lack of class and so does the title of the thread."

    Correct.

"I found the hysteria after the game was over the top and emotional rather than rational."

    Ditto.

Why ivor feels his opinion has to be validated by pundits is beyond me, but there you go. "See I'm right!! Alan Shearer says so!" <laugh>

Everyone can have an opinion and mine is that yes the Cardiff players worked harder second half but remember we were undone by a soft set piece, not Medel's 'industry'. Let's blame JDG!!! Let's blame Chico!!! Sorry guys, that's football.

I'm not into the blame game at all because the game of football is unpredictable at times. However, if you're looking to blame someone look no further than the Manager. We looked a different team second half. He dictates the tempo and he got it wrong.

Oh and lastly, DPJ: My post at the end of page 1 was reasonable and not abusive to anyone so why react like that at the top of this page? Totally uncalled for. So listen and listen good. I'll let your threat slide because you're clearly emotional after the derby day defeat. Do it again and you'll find yourself on the wrong end of a ban. Name calling is against the rules. I won't be repeating this.<ok>

Just to make things clear, never at any time did I post that I expected us to win. I expressed my reservations from the off saying that I feared set pieces (correct); that we would probably concede from one and would need at least two goals to win (correct); that we needed to match Cardiff's work rate and intensity (correct); that we would lose if we didn't (CORRECT!!!).

My one caveat was where I posted that if both teams played their best game, we would win. I stand by that.

Well done ivor - you've gone to the top of the class in I Told You So. <doh> I think you'll find most of us agreed with you too. <ok>

I don't need my opinions to be validated by pundits: I know enough about football to carry my own. However, as you raised the point, my opinion has been backed by many unbiased pundits, journos and professional footballers - in fact, I haven't come across any of them who disagreed with my pov.

So that's who I have in my corner. Like to tell me who's in yours? Well there's Norway and possibly one or two others. Anyone else? No, I didn't think so!

Oh, and just to underline things, Ashley Williams, the Swansea City captain, the man who actually played in the game, the man who tried in vain to whip some energy into his team, has also "validated" my opinion.

I have great respect for you and Norway but, after you have read Ash's comments, I will be interested to see if either of you have enough class to admit that, in this instance, you were WRONG.

No, most of "us" didn't do any such thing, KJ. I was reading forecasts of us winning 3-0, 4-2 and generally having an enjoyable away day romp. Sad to say those that did say so were wrong.

Please don't include me in those wild predictions.

But why should this be about right and wrong? I've already said we didn't work as hard as Cardiff in the 2nd half so we're in agreement. NJ and I only agree in the sense that there was bound to be a lot of hysteria after the game but to say you're "ashamed" is well over the top and if you don't agree with our view then frankly I don't give a fish's tit.

I've already made the point that for all their industry and work ethic (much lauded by you and your new pals) we restricted them to limited chances when they were the home team, bossed the possession stats and had comparable shots (just edging them in fact) but were undone by a soft set piece. So yes, you're hysterical and overreacting. That's my opinion.

But why are you so combative, and why do you feel the need to have people "in your corner"? You're as entitled to your opinion as I am mine. In fact, as NJ says we agree for the most part. It's just how we've reacted to the loss is a little different.

I for one am very proud of my Club. I'm convinced we'll beat them here and also that we'll finish above them this season by some margin. Ashamed? Don't make me laugh.

It seems we have developed a Laurel and hardy act in Norway and Knackered of late, they have the temerity to have a go at passionate fans who clearly see their team have served up a half baked meal yesterday, and yet they are not allowed to complain, after paying their money?

The Only embarrassing couple on here is 'Laurel and Hardy' get a life ladies! We played crap yesterday and every man and his dog knows it, and not just in little old Swansea either!.................<ok>

Ivor you are on the money mate, and so is Swansalona and PGF, and many others, Laudrup must take responsibility now for the way we are heading, time to get back to what we do best, and time for our players to put in a real shift, which they have not done since last years Wembley cup final!

Cut out the personal jibes DPJ or you'll be banned. This is the second warning and I've already notified the mods. The next one will be an official request for a ban. I'm not putting up with your **** again. There is absolutely no need to mock other posters or their views.

If you took the time to actually read posts instead of jumping in feet first you will see that neither NJ or myself have said that we played particularly well. Yes, the stats show we restricted them and controlled big parts of that game, particularly first half, but we dropped off in the second and we conceded a soft goal which wasn't even from open play.

    Hope that's clear.

This ones for you Norway! We have pretty much agreed whole heardedly over the years, and on this occasion we are going to disagree, and remember, this is a two bit disscussion board, and if posters want to slate the team for a very poor performance, then that is their perogative, after all they pay their money, and they rightly expect better of the players!..................<ok>
