Ivor, you've been subjected to some unwarranted abuse and I can see why you may decide to opt out. Sadly, it can be part of an open forum where anyone can come on and say anything. I missed that one Aswan, all I'm doing is deleting posts. After reading it I will consult Valley on a ban fro Stumpy. I'm very suprised at what has been said by him, out of character for him.
It will be a sad day should Ivor decide to leave. Open forum or not, respected members of the community should not have to tolerate abuse like that. Ivors input is always well thought out and a joy to read. One of this forums best posters! I hope stumpy apologises, asap.

I think the mods have a difficult job but they have a track record of tolerating breaches of the rules - particularly name calling and mocking. It's happened to me recently. You have to stamp this out guys because it has set a precedent and posters think they can get away with it because they've seen others do so.
Load of bollocks banning someone for one out of place comment, everyone has a bad day or acts a bit off colour now and again. Ive had MODS on here call me all sorts and have said far worse, its a big so what really isn't it, I didn't take offence as it was out of character , just like stumpys comment was. By continuing the drivel the situation is being built up into something it wasn't , all a load of bollocks move on and man up As for Ivor as a poster, absolutely love him ,says what he thinks and puts it across really well , got a lot of time for the guy and I always enjoy to read his view point even if I totally disagree .He like Swanselona and a few others are the types of guy you can actually debate with and enjoy the odd difference of opinion without it going off project !
I hope Ivor stays and I hope Stumpy apologises for a moment of madness, out of character for him. The true enemy are 40 miles east and banning out posters is not the way forward, get rid of their pond life who frequent the board instead and respect all Swans posters
I disagree, Norway. Credit to you for shrugging off abuse. Some can't and I count myself in that, and it's just the way I am I suppose. I come on here for debate and the occasional giggle but I accept it gets heated because we all love the Swans and that's fine but mocking and abuse is a cheap tactic that makes some people not want to bother posting because as ivor says he has a life away from his keyboard, as do most of us. I'm not having a go but don't be so quick to diminish others' concerns. It's a real issue for some of us. What I find is that certain posters (and in fairness Stumpy isn't one of them normally) keep doing it until they get a warning then they make a joke of it. The mods should take a tough line on abuse and bullying, end of. Saying 'man up' is just a cheap shot.

I think not. I've never called anyone a moron on here which is what I got from you the other day and that's why you had to be warned twice by valley. In the past I've also been called 'prick" and worse by you and it has to stop. But the other point is that abuse and mocking derails threads, and remember it pisses other posters off no end so you're spoiling it for everyone. You think you're having fun and you might be, I don't know, but you are in reality wrecking the forum. If I bother you that much ignore me. You responded to the most innocuous post of mine yesterday with hatred and venom. Absolutely no need for it.

I don't think I've said anything unreasonable, never. Please tell me if I have. No name calling from me. No mocking comments. Try looking at DPJ's posts over the past few days. It's ridiculous. I actually think my comments will strike a chord with many here because the guy can't resist having a pop for no apparent reason other than his silly vendetta. This disrupts threads and the forum as a whole but he really is the teflon poster isn't he? As soon as he's warned he backs off and makes a joke of it. It's tiresome for me and I'm sure everyone else. I know DPJ dislikes me and believe me the feeling is very mutual but let's try to keep a lid on it for the good of the forum that's all I'm asking. I'm now putting him on ignore because I've had a ****ing titful. I'd be grateful if other posters don't repeat with quote because I really can do without it.
