Got his tactics and game plan spot on. I think our players suit 4-3-3 but Pardew is unable to coach it effectively.

However when we play 4-4-2 every player to a man knows his job and credit to Pardew for that. We sat off Chelsea first half to see what they had in the locker, whatever it was wasn't enough. We then took the game to them second half and deserved that win. It's gone a long way to paying back the derby defeat, even more so after our midweek efforts.

I thought Debuchy was phenomenol today. Not one of hazard, oscar, mata or willian had the beating off him. Also thought Sissoko and Gouffran ran themselves in to the ground for the cause.

Great ball by Cabaye for the goal and felt Anita made us more offensive when he came on as he releases the ball a lot quicker than Tiote (who also had a good game).

Didn't see this result coming at all! We'll done the lads and the manager.

I dont post too much on here but I know there is a lot of dislike towards Pardew.

Yes last season was poor, but the year and a half before that was solid. And thus far this campaign, we have had bad days such as Hull at home and the Derby but a quarter of the way in and we are 9th. What more can we ask for when he was given one loan signing in the summer and teams such as Swansea and Norwich etc all spent 20 million plus.

I actually am quite happy with Pardew and am quite happy we have the 2md longest serving manager in the league.

Everyone played well and worked hard for the team.

Im still seriously concerned with cisse.

Anita is a must starter next game for me. He was class when he came on.

    Tiote played very well also.

No one will mention Williamson but I thought he was solid through the game.

    Debuchy was also class.

    A very pleasing win!

Absolutely Buzzing! We showed today spirit, graft, class. Pardew got it spot on and the players delivered. Not to mention the fans. Rocking in the second half. We must stick together. Forget the cockney tw*ts and try and enjoy the ride. It's always emotional supporting the Toon and likely that is never going to change.

Spot on from Pards. I think we can play 433 and Pards can coach it. Some of our best games under him have been 433. I think the key is Anita and Pards has to look at that.

Why am I not surprised you said that?

Took us to win by 2 goals but did 3-1. Happy enough with the points though.

I was surprised and delighted with this result!

The stats show we fully deserved it and after the excellent first half display against Man City in the Cup, we've really pulled a massive 3 points out of a game nobody would have expected us to win <cheers>

You can't knock him today AB, he was bang on the money. People have their much needed 2 goal victory, against Chelsea no less.

Say it quietly in these parts, we've had a half decent start.

Not been to an away game for years now. I keep threatening to do one but it has literally been about 3 years! Think I'm done with those days now.

That's a few games this season where he's set us up just right. He needs to do it consistently though. Currently Pardew is like the HBA of management - cracking one game and shocking the next.

Bit harsh, it would be good one game, shocking the next 7 <laugh> He does make too many mistakes. As good as it will get under this lot though

Like it for different reasons. Decent ground but meet some of our southern supporters down there.

Pain getting the train to KX and then the tube to the ground, so going with the supporters coach.

What reason was given for HBA not playing today?
