Dear Fellow Canaries,
I have been increasingly concerned by the level of vitriole that we are showing to each other under the umbrella of Norwich City supporters. It is not healthy and has to be seen as self-defeating in the long term.
I have a suggestion that I hope will be embraced positively by both camps.
Can I ask all of those who are disgruntled with the team, manager, tactics or whatever to state their case on this thread for say the next 24 hours without any response from the 'other side'. The request is that your comments are articualted constructively so that the following day when the thread is reversed, those concerns can be answered directly and hopefully a consensus (somewhere betwen the two polar opposites) can be reached. This may be in cloud cuckoo-land but that is my offer. I would request when the thread opens that the negative comments are supported by facts, recollections or some backing to the argument, something like 'Hootun out he is sh*t' is not welcome, but the questioning maybe of instances where he has lacked the will to go on and win games and settled for draws for example with the backing of the substitutions that indicate this lack of ambition would I suggest be a basis for a general discussion on day 3.
I am sorry that this intro has gone on a bit but I sincerely hope that we can use this thread in isolation for the benefit of us and the club. So, until 9 a.m. tomorrow morning, may I please ask the largely disgruntled to step up and state their cases. Thank you.

Oh this is going well then! I thought the request was fairly plain but it appears that we don't want to sort things out and are happy slagging each other off - brilliant, well done guys!!

ok, well as unlikely a source as i may be, i'll go first.

i'm as disappointed as anybody with the lack of goals. its not for the want of trying but our final ball has been lacking most of the season so far. so how do we go about changing it? i think pilkington 'gets it', if you know what i mean, but he isn't always fit. snodgrass has struggled for form, although i think he's playing ok, better than he was a few weeks ago. much has been talked of not playing inverted wingers - i'd like to see a little bit more rotation. we saw some on saturday but not for long enough. not only does it give us an extra option it also gives full backs something different to think about. i know some don't want to see it but i'd like to see our wingers take on the full back and get to the byline a bit more often. we are getting caged in to tight areas in the middle and i think having rested redmond for a while, i'd be tempted to bring him in instead of snodgrass, play him on the right and see if he is a little more inclined to get to the byline. it might not work but i personally think snodgrass could do with a rest - he's had a pretty stressful last couple of months.

Erm, how can I put this Superman ? Not to put too finer point on it, when all is said and done, at the end of the day, by and large, taking all of your points into consideration .....................................................................................................

................................ I agree with EVERYTHING you have said ! ! ! <yikes>

What an anti climax that was - this thread has been waiting for one of your great rants <wah>

I found the whole thing confusing, creating a rant thread never works. It's usually some kind of thread about how great the team is doing, then all the ant-CH crowd come out. It's just too forced, needs to be more of a natural build up to the ranting ;)

I think I've said enough and I'm fed up with moaning and falling out with other posters so best call a truce. Seriously though, I have to admit that Superman's post was most articulate, correct and I can't fault it <ok>

This isn't peace breaking out is it? If so, this 'forced idea' just might have done its job in a perverse kind of way. To be honest Fenland, I do accept that comment but how you found it confusing was bizarre, it really was very obvious, but still there you go.

Sorry but I found the whole idea of a rant thread a bit bizarre. Rants tend to be more spontaneous, although if Carrabuh posted on this thread he is an exception to the rule, the dark hatred he has in his heart for CH is an unnatural thing.
