Defy Logic isn't going to win the Arkle lads.

Its very unlikely that he runs in the race never mind wins it, but you never know. I think he deserves to be in the betting at this stage though, he was one of the best novice hurdlers in Ireland last season and he looks a natural 2 miler. Unless its soft ground at Cheltenham he will probably be kept for the Irish festivals.

Well see how he goes tomorrow, he could be the jumps Pythagorean.

Mouse Morris seemingly keen to stay over hurdles this season which I find very strange. I wonder if Gigginstown have some chasers up their sleeve? This fells looked a tailor-made chaser to me. what can he target, a World Hurdle?

That is stupid. I don't think Mr Mouse would of had much say in it though. He doesn't with the other Giggs horses he has anyway. Undoubtedly they will have a host of good prospects but you can never have enough decent staying chasers around can you. Plenty of targets.

Yep you're right. He does deserve a mention.

One that I'm keen to see this year is Our Vinnie. He's entered in a beginners chase in a day or two and looked very capable as a novice hurdler at 2 and a half. Fancied for the Neptune only to start lazily and be brought down when progressing through the field. It all depends on how he jumps a fence but he's the type of horse who could do well this year and who will often be a bigger price than he should. Especially if they can find a race or two against a second or third tier Mullins chaser.

Taken another shortie accum after yesterdays big let down on pat garrett (then swansea went on to let me down for 8 team accum :emoticon-0149-no: ) I dunno if I'm wise but here they are for a €5 accum pays just short of 250 for interest:

Defy Logic @ 2/5 (GP)
Win or E/W
14:45 BEGINNERS CHASE 2m
Harvey Logan @ 6/4 (GP)
Win or E/W
16:35 NAT HUNT FLAT 2m
Don Cossack @ 8/11 (GP)
Win or E/W
15:35 BEGINNERS CHASE 2m 6f
Marchese Marconi @ 11/8 (GP)
Win or E/W
15:05 AMATEUR STAKES 1m 6f
Royal Moll @ 4/6 (GP)
Win or E/W
14:05 MARES MAIDEN HURDLE 2m
Double Irish @ 4/5 (GP)
Win or E/W
13:35 MAIDEN HURDLE 2m

Only real worry...Don Cossack FTO.

Also have a small stake lucky 15 on:

Count Salazar @ 5/1 (GP)
Win or E/W
16:05 HANDICAP CHASE 2m 6f
Run N Jump @ 8/1 (GP)
Win or E/W
15:45 HANDICAP HURDLE 2m
Captain Arceus @ 9/2 (GP)
Win or E/W
14:15 HURDLE (4YO+) 2m 4f
Colbert Station @ 11/2 (GP)
Win or E/W
15:15 HANDICAP HURDLE 2m 4f

Got badly stung by first lieutenant few weeks back first time out so going against rule the world with the fit Captain Arceus and the fantastic Bryan Cooper. Feel like Count Salazar has to get in front at some stage and have always backed Colbert Station so think that's a decent price even though it's drifted slightly since I put it on.

Good Luck all !

Taquin De Seuil pencilled in for his chase debut tomorrow lads - 3.30 Ffos Las

6/13 on Betfair - not my kind of odds - but he is the class act of the four runners.

Nice little race coming up - got Oscars Well and Twinlight in a forecast <ok>

I did mate - and small single on the winner - dutching bet, now I know what they are called <laugh>

I did of course mean Rule the World - it's not often Derby winners go hurdling!

Although quite a few Derby runners have - Anselmo in the 60's is one that springs to mind - and Sea Pigeon of course.

You light, the skies up above me
A star, so bright you blind me
Don't close your eyes
Don't fade away
Don't fade away

Yeah you and me we can ride on a star
If you stay with me girl, we can rule the world
Yeah you and me we can light up the sky
If you stay by my side, we can rule the world.

If walls break down, I will comfort you
If angels cry, oh I'll be there for you
You've saved my soul
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me now

Yeah you and me we can ride on a star
If you stay with me girl, we can rule the world
Yeah you and me we can light up the sky
If you stay by my side, we can rule the world.

All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you
All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you,

Yeah you and me we can ride on a star
If you stay with me girl, we can rule the world
Yeah you and me we can light up the sky
If you stay by my side, we can rule the world.

All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you
All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you

Very tuneful Bob - and it's on MY I-pod. Sung by Take That of course, although I expect your version is just as good :D

Evening chaps.

I think Gigginstown really start to ramp up their season tomorrow with two chasing prospects to make the mouth water.

Don Cossack was touted as a wonder horse but failed to live up to that lofty reputation as a novice hurdler. He may never become a grade one horse but if the phrase 'whatever he does over hurdles is a bonus' has ever been true then it's with this fella.

Rule the World is running over hurdles and it's a hot race with Waaheb and On His Own aswell as the race fit Captain Arceus. Whatever happens tomorrow doesn't really matter as it's big fat fences this chap was made to jump over. Definitely the most exciting horse running on Monday following his quite excellent second in the Neptune.

We've seen some horses today. And big prices all things considered.

Two above average Irish jumps cards today helped brightened up an otherwise mundane Monday. Don't recall a Monday where as many potential festival beasts have been out? Don Cossack looked good didn't he.

All won with minimum fuss. Rule The Worlds victory a small boost to The New One form.

Rule The World hurdles beautifully. Think he could make a smashing chaser.
