Watch the match again and see the amount of fetching, carrying, off the ball runs & defending Altidore does -I just shake my head when this type of performance gets waved aside.
Colback was very good too, Johnson showed more promise(undeniably went awol for goal though but hey it was of no consequence) - on the whole a lot more plusses than minuses today.

It must have been the right decision, we won. if Borini hadn't scored, I agree with you it was the wrong decision, but that's where managers earn their crust, making brave decisions. Personally I don't think it was the game for Ki, I agree with Johnson off for Borini, but would have kept the middle two the same to counter the threat of Ben Arfa and Cabaye.

Altidore was no where to be seen when the crosses came in.

I thought Altidore was poor today mind. Tough game to be judged given service, but his first touch is awful. We can't just excuse players because they graft.

Got to say yes he was MOTM for me and I think he is poor in the CM role, big well done to the lad.
