Ol' Bill Nick! Miss you mate. Saw Bill on station platforms many times standing by himself and always wanted to say "Hello Bill" but always chickened out.I knew he didn't want to be "got at" so to speak. But he left me (and a lot of you) with great memories! Thanks Bill!
For those that aren't buying the fergie book and just want the best bits http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24626840 and yes I KNOW you are probably sick of hearing about it! but Fergie has been getting stick for what he said about Keane ...yet after watching Keane on ITV champions league and the way he bullied southgate or his face would turn to thunder as soon as someone disagreed, you can be sure what Fergie says is correct.
Keane's a petulant thug. Superb player, but he was totally unsuited to management because of his spiteful, nasty personality.
There's was a good interview of fergie on channel 4, with John Snow, who pressures fergie on certain issues knowing Fergie has to remain controlled. If that was Keane being Interviewed you can only imagine how he would act when being challenged.
You can imagine the sledging he gave out to his opponents, and it worked, so many stood off him or went in half heartedly, it certainly gave him an edge. A fiery little Irishman with some gipsy in the gene pool. I like it when he goes off on one if a team aren't trying!
I was in a pub in Dublin when we played Man Utd in 2004, and there was one ****ish barman who wouldn't hear a word against Roy Keane - and also kept bringing people over to me to gawk at the Spurs fan in the pub during the game. Should've gone Friday Night in Croydon on him, in retrospect...
If anyone's interested it's a big 7 day's for Sutton United, tomorrow they travel to Hemel Hempstead in the FA cup,HH are top of their league and unbeaten at home,Sutton are ten games unbeaten and haven't conceded in the last 6.then on Tuesday they play bottom club Gosport (if no replay is needed),a win there will put them 1 point behind leaders Eastleigh, whom they play that Saturday,2nd November.Like Spurs, Sutton play a high back four, with the keeper playing the sweeper keeper type Game
the football they are playing is entertaining to ,certainly pay's to have an ex- international,as a player coach,Can't go tomorrow, but i'm going to be there for the Eastleigh game
Received my Tottenham Hotspur newsletter today. One item stood out....Ossie Ardiles at the training facilities. Looked good......but lost a lot of hair. What a player. If the younger fans can get some videos of him,buy 'em and you'll realize what we are missing today. If you wanted a midfielder to go through the opposition like a hot knife through butter,he was him. Wonderful memories!!!!

Used to love watching him,one of my outstanding memories was the Spurs 1st team including Ossie playing Sutton United,Glen Hoddle also played as he was returning from an injury
We've been linked with a move for Pirlo. We've also been seen trying to strap a monitor to Tom Carroll's head to make sure he watches everything Pirlo does, which hasn't gone down well with QPR...
