I have read Ledley"s and Harry"s. I was a bit disappointed with Ledley's as it drops into the usual routine of autobiographies. Family background, early days at school, nothing controversial, I am an ambassador for the club so I toe the party line etc etc. We've all road this type of book.

Harry's is impossible to put down once you've started it. The book does dwell for a bit too long on some of Harry's rants, for example his rant about how shabbily English football and West Ham treated Bobby Moore, but once he has got that off his chest, the book settles down to a fine read.

I particularly enjoyed the story of when he went to Italy to look at a RB for Pompey. On returning to England, he was having dinner with Milan Mandaric and the chief executive Peter Storrie. Harry asked Mandaric for funds to sign this RB. Mandaric refused because he said he had heardt his RB was really a CB, position Poetsmouth didn't need to cover. Harry exploded and said who told you he was a CB. Mandaric said Peter Storrie's 10 year old stepson looked him up online and told me he is a CB. Redknapp said, well **** it, we'll make Storrie's stepson the ****ing chief scout then <laugh>.

You're the second person to say that about the ledley book. Shame as was hoping to find out more yet sounds like he played it safe. Although as I ordered the Ronnie osullivan book and Redknapp book, then the ledley one will offer me a safe escape!

I would like to know if a a club ever tried to sign ledley. Or if he ever had ambitions to leave but maybe best to remember him for being a one club man!

.........That story from Arrys time at pompey is ridiculous but comic! a 10yr old lad doing research on signings and being listened to Lol

Yeah, Ledley plays a straight bat throughout. I mentioned on here a few days ago about how I was hoping he might enlighten us about the events at WHL when Poll sent John Terry off. It doesn't get a mention and as an employee of the club, I suppose this was inevitable.

I am certain you will enjoy Harry's . He doesn't have a problem taking the piss out of himself, doesn't seem to take himself too seriously and comes across as a bloke you would love to spend a few hours with.

The worst book I have read was David Ginolas biography, was the only book my brother decided to bring to me when I was in hospital and needed something "interesting", not sure if my brother was having a laugh or had a man crush on Ginola, yet after a few pages i'm sat there thinking "really David, for a man of you're experience, you actually allowed this book to be published", some of the wording was if he asked a 10yr old boy to narrate his career, not to mention him attempting to let loose over what happened with Graham, cringe-worthy at the best of times!

I guess the point is, if a player is a nice guy and a quiet guy, such as King & Ginola then don't expect them to suddenly reveal all in their book.

Better stay safe and stick to the self proclaimed loud mouths, at least you know you're in for a good read!

Ricky Hatton's autobiography is out too.

It should be interesting. Trained hard, won fight, fell off the wagon, 20 pints per day, weight ballooned by 4 stone, lost 4 stone, trained hard, won fight, fell off the wagon etc......

Taking 30,000 fans to Las Vegas for a fight was impressive, especially for a City fan.

Slightly tangental to that engadget article; Google Googles scares me no end. I took a photo of two friends a while back and Google recognised the patterned wallpaper in the background and tried to sell it to me. The amount of faces it recognises is scary too - I took a photo at Swindon's County Ground and it tried to recognise every face of every supporter who was in focus.

    Watching me, watching you.

35,000 vBulletin sites, such as this one, have been hacked over the past week.

Maybe some of the posting problem are related to that..?

10 zillion script-kiddies all trying to hack this site at once..?
