My son is severely disabled. But he is a ray of sunshine most of the time, and the thought of someone aborting a child like him because of a similar disability is very troubling.

I get that entirely Jip but if someone knew their unborn baby was going to be severely disabled to the point where they would have an awful quality of life they have to consider whether they can cope. I think if people decide they cannot that has to be respected.

If someone is willing to abort their child due to it beind disabled they don't deserve to be parents, let alone be respected.
I wonder if Shameless will tell her son/daughter she was going to kill them if they were in some way handicapped?
The world is upside down if that should be respected.

Agree Dan...for me it depends on the level of disability and the impact on quality of life for the child. i cannot imagine anyone in that position is going to take that decision lightly.
You keep justifying it with yer pish Princess![]()
Chief, are you aware that the Minister mentioned in the OP does not share the same religious dogma as Ciaran?
Are you also aware that Ciaran doesn't share the same religious dogma as the Ciaran you have made up in your head?
I must have mentioned I was non religious in thread about 5 times Rebs. You would think that was the only comeback they had.

I don't agree with people randomly getting babies in the womb tested, just in case.
You need just reason to get these tests carried out...some of the tests can actually cause disability.
If you do get a test done, then you need to be prepared to potentially hear bad news.
Now, if the news is your future child is disabled...what do you do?

If you can tell that it is disabled then it is a child, not a future child. Getting tests done, aborting kids until you get a perfect one.
Was that really Dr Mengele the Yids brought back from Argentina?
That's why I ignored that fud Aldo's comment Rebel, no point. He would probably just repeat it 10 minutes after.
