I don't know to be honest Ciaran - it was just something i was bought up with and now stick to it. Mind if i do have meat I don't start saying the Rosary or ruinning to confession I don't really see it as any different to having a roast on a sunday.
Not just for me but for my dozen children that my future wife will have. As I have said earlier her religion would be a bigger issue than the colour of her skin here.
I think it is. Down in Glasgowshire when I was a nipper we had fish on Friday's at school although it was not a denominational school. Just seemed to be the done thing in the West. Someone once told me it was in reference to some bloke that handed out loads of fish and bread back in the day. I can only assume it must have been a Friday.
I love fish and seafood and eat it on a Friday all the time . Gambol was right ......i am a timposter
I'm convinced there's a long standing tradition for most folk to do it. Always see the local chippies packed on a Friday.
I am all things to all people. I just haven't got a clue who I am basically. But that is probably true about all of us. I keep waiting for a sign or something but it's not going to happen. We're born, we live, we die. Anything in-between is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.
You're absolutely right there Dan. I think initially it was solely (christ I'm so funny) a Catholic tradition but I think it basically turned ino a British tradition. Much like when he prisoners get out on the prison roof. Never seems to happen anywhere else.
