Not saying we will beat United (as you can never know that for certain about any match), but we have come a long way in that we can reasonably hope to win any game. It would confirm our improvement if we beat or draw with United at OT, but would not be the massive shock it may have been a couple of seasons ago.

We're due a very good performance, where a team gets put to the slaughter, and I think it might be Saints. The international break couldn't have come at a worse time for you. You've started well but 14 points is very flattering, I can't see you maintaining the same level of performance for much longer. I can see us winning 4-1 and you eventually finishing around 13th or 14th.

All the best.

See it's comments like this that make Manure the most hated club in Britain, at least the Scousers have always been gracious and respectful to their oppos and they are usually interested enough to make an educated comment....I'm not saying that we won't lose, we could even lose 4-1, but the form book would suggest otherwise and you will get good odds at the bookies for it. As for 14 points flattering us, well that is just nonsense,, we have earnt those points by being extremely well organised and defensively solid, something that your own team haven't been so far.
I'm pretty sure that David Moyes will be taking us a lot more seriously than you are and you should be thankful that he will be!

Well said Saints Alive!:emoticon-0148-yes:

Our games so far have been quite easy and we have only played one top team, who we beat 1-0. We'll probably lose, but won't be shocked for us to get a draw or even a win. Also, the international break will be worse for you with most of your players getting called up - Rooney's playing three games in eight days!

Oh dear. How ignorant.

Funnily enough, you are right in one way in that he aren't playing as well as we can. However to say that are points total flatters us is completely wrong. We should have beaten Sunderland and, in particular, West Ham so we could easily have more points.

Agree. All our wins were justified, perhaps you could say we got lucky with a late penalty at the hawthorns. West ham and sunderland were target practice.

Just been browsing through some Utd forums and I have to say, they're very respectful towards us. To summarise a few of their main points:

1) Most believe we tonked them over the 2 games last year (particularly 2nd half at OT when they didn't get out of their half.
2) They feel they struggle to breakdown/play through sides who press hard and high.
3) They're not overly confident in their own level of performance and lready seem to be pinning a lot of hope on Januzaj
4) Many of them seem to think we'll take point(s) off them on Saturday.

I have to sya, they seem to be a refreshingly honest and realistic bunch, I wouldn't say they're exaggeratively pessmistic but just aware of their current weakness and our current (relative) strength.

Either way, I think everyone expects this to be a good, competative match. Can't wait!!

Should be a good match. My heart wants the lads to win, but I think we'll lose 2-1. As long as we put up a good fight, I'll be OK.
