The Sunday Supplement panel discusses Gus Poyet's suitability for the Sunderland job, and expresses sympathy for Sunderland fans and Kevin Ball.
Gus Poyet was appointed as Sunderland head coach last week, after Paolo Di Canio was sacked following seven months in charge at the Stadium of Light.
And while Oliver Holt from the Daily Mirror is backing Poyet to succeed where Di Canio failed, Charlie Wyett from The Sun on Sunday says Poyet is the wrong man for the job, and that Sunderland will be relegated this season.
Oliver Holt said: "He (Poyet) comes with a good reputation, and I think he has a very distinct philosophy.
"He is certainly the kind of man who will be there for the long-term, and will bring some structure and order to a place that descended into chaos - predictably, you have to say - under Paolo Di Canio.
"I think the problem Sunderland fans have, and Paolo Di Canio has, is that they allowed Paolo Di Canio to sign so many new players that Gus Poyet is going to be expected to make the best of those players, it's a long time until anyone else can arrive."
But Charlie Wyett said: "I think it's a bad appointment. I think Poyet was very lucky to get the job.
"I can't quite understand why Sunderland went for him, I think there were better options out there, Neil Lennon at Celtic, Malky Mackay at Cardiff.
"I think Poyet has got a lot to prove, I think Sunderland are going down.
"I would love to be proved wrong, but I can't see any way back for them at all."
