So we will see teams now overspending trying to match that technical setup and the race goes on and on and the spending goes up and up...lol Why do they ever talk about spending limits? doesn't make sense.
Idealism ≠ Practicality At all levels, it's probably the most difficult equation mankind faces; one which necessarily comes to the fore when striving to improve anything. This is what F1 does constantly, and is the very reason for its existence. Whoever solves the puzzle will be hailed as a genius*, for it will probably set a model for mankind to end all conflict.- - -o0o- - - *It would be nice if we could then just leave it at that. Indeed, this would itself be an example of transmuting idealism into harmonised reality. Unfortunately though, the cynic in me suggests a different practical outcome… –The genius would probably become deified, cited as a saint, prophet or similar, and used by power-mongers as a champion for future disagreement and conflict!
Nothing will happen to Red Bull or Vettel if they were found out, Vettel has his feet under a lot of high places and Dietrich would pull out Red Bull and Toro Rosso in a flash if every convicted. Helmut Marko would have a fit declaring all teams have thus cheated and demand a european/national court to investigate fixing of races or teams for example. They would leave a big ****storm for Jean Todt and Bernie if they tried anything. Business rules F1 not sportsmanship so no need to delude yourselves any further, sportsmanship died when the media and tobacco companies came into F1 which was about 40+ years ago.
Just like most athletes...some are better at masking performance enhancing drugs than others so they get away with it.
It's a great shame that this (probable) truism can become a factor in the public's appreciation of competition and sport, especially at the highest level. Nonetheless, I accept that your perspective, dhel, is not only valid but important. I hope others who matter more than me will also appreciate your voice as roughly representative, together with all inferences beyond. I know you did not intend to introduce excellence in terms of F1 with respect to drugs; nonetheless, I feel I should add that (to date) I personally believe it plays no part whatsoever.
You are right Cosicave... I don't believe drugs play any part in f1... I was just trying to show how some people could bend the rules and get away because they have the technology.
I notice and I mentioned it before in another thread that they usually take apart Vettel's car before qualifying...here it is again.
I think they are fitting Vettel's car with what ever gives him that extra pace..new kers unit? And what else is in there? Lol. Just asking. I have a very curious mind so I ask. Lol
Seems like that kers system has a lot to do it because he almost ran off track in that corner... It just shows that without him being favored and having that "extra help" Webber would eat him alive. Imagine Alonso, Hamilton and Kimi with that red bull with all those extras...hmmmmmm
Vettel will only prove how good he really is when he goes into another team and dominate. I hope we don't hear vettel telling Horner and those on pit wall to get webber out of the way.
Vettel there on the press meet there...he looks like he is about to lay an egg actually. He doesn't look too happy at all. I wonder why?
