It is you lot that will take us backwards, lot's of comments on your website aren't even from OUR City. Cardiff or Leicester supporters seem to make up a large majority of your voters which really says something about your campaign, does it not?

Yes, it says that fans of other clubs are sympathetic and would hate to have this imposed on their club(and for the record, it was mainly Villa fans, as we just played them).

Attacking and trying to impose your will/leaflets on others is no way to conduct yourselves if you are trying to win support.

Nobody has been attacked with a leaflet, those giving out the leaflets have generally been praised for the way they have conducted themselves.

Like I have always said openly on here OLM you are a bully and very rude to others that slightly oppose you, unfortunately there are a lot of sheep on here that will follow you regardless. From memory you were exactly the same on the old 606 website and the Hdm website and you do not like it when people challenge you as you come out attacking with verbals instead of either reasoned debate or just ignoring completely.

It's true, I don't suffer fools gladly.

Of course arguments are going to get heated. I can't seriously believe you didn't expect that to happen.

It's our club and we want what's best for it, rather than live in cloud cuckoo land and chase a pipe dream.

People are going to get annoyed when the very fabric of the club is being destroyed.

My personal preference is Hull City but I will support the club and it's players even if it is called Notohullcitytigers (or whatever they are calling themselves )as it is my chosen club with all it's history etc which no man can ever take away.

Thank you. So is there anything wrong in letting people know that you'd prefer for us to be called Hull City A.F.C in some official manner? I mean I suppose the #NoToHullTigers can come across as a little imposing to some. However is there an alternative way of doing things? I'm all ears. I appreciate there are a lot of people out there who would carry on going regardless of what our name is but is there any harm in expressing a preference and getting on board with a campaign that closely matches that preference?

Having spent plenty of time flicking through that petition I can assure you that the large majority of the names on there are Hull City supporters. As the campaign has gained exposure and conversations have been had on opposition forums we have had a flurry of support from those clubs. is that such a bad thing? I think it adds context that it isn't just City fans getting into a flap over nothing.

That most of the No group on here have an ulterior motive for not liking the Allam's

Not liking what of the Allam's? Or did you put an apostrophe in as you are one of those who think that every word ending in the letter s should have an apostrophe in it?

I am firmly in the No group but have no dislike of the Allams let alone an ulterior motive.

Like I and lots of others have been saying " Hit him where it hurts" leaflets and a few demonstrations mean nothing to him.
I have never objected to the opposing side however what I do object to is the way it is being done and some of the language used against others by many on here, I also object to all the topics being started on here every day with quotes about Notohulltigers, this would not happen if we did not have Mods that support it as it would be forced into one topic or even closed, but that is another topic I am sure :)

I think you need to separate posters posting on a message board and the campaign against the name change, they're not the same thing.

If I'm giving out leaflets, or acting on behalf of the campaign group, then I'll act accordingly.

If I'm merely posting as myself on a message board, I'll take a pop at anyone I think is being a twat and I'll debate The Smiths over Level 42 etc, as normal.

And I will continue to offer some of my opinions on you being a twat and will say what I think which is my right :)
If someone has the right to insult me by calling me names is another question tho, I am all for debate and differing views and the old adage about this being a football forum and I should accept it will not wash, treat others as you would expect to be treated is a good saying in my book.

If you'd expressed an opinion, rather than just making snide remarks about the campaign I'm a part of, I might not have thought you were a twat at all.

Just saying.

Cheers, however I am not here to win the Nobel prize for spelling, I am just here to put my view across and the fact that it upsets a few of the other side is a good sign of their convictions.
Like I said before these are exactly the same ones who had a go over Nick Barmby getting the sack, therefore have an ulterior motive in my way of thinking.

I'm not, so that's that arguement foiled before it hits the ground.

I spoke out quite vociferously in favour of the Allams when they were castigated & abused by many on here who were upset at they way NB had been sacked. Many of these people are now quite apathetic to the name change.

There is no ulterior motive. Just people who, like you, would prefer to keep our club's name the same as it has been for many many generations. The only difference is there are others who, unlike you, are prepared to question the need for the name change & express a wish to maintain our current name, the name which you prefer.

If this is your view, thanks for putting it accross but, in this instance, it's wrong.

Robo

So the problem is with the Campaign rather than the concept of remaining Hull City A.F.C. With that said how would you propose to get your own personal opinion known to Mr Allam?

As I said there is a lot of support from other teams recently on the petition. However if you scroll through all 4,000 names you will find the Vast majority are City fans.

I think in a Campaign such as this you have to turn a blind eye to individuals and go with the general consensus of the group. OLB may be a twat (I wouldn't have a clue,I don't know the bloke). There may be a Racist posting on the petition. However it is the official stance of the group that is to be supported, not the actions of any single individual.

I always express my opinions on here and to the best of my knowledge have never made snide remarks, if you choose to interpret them as such then that is really your fault for not reading the posts properly.

You tried to link this with Barmby's sacking, which was utterly ridiculous.
