We need to go in like terriers and shake them up a bit. Cannot let them gain confidence. the longer it goes on 0-0 the more likely we are to lose. Go 1-0 up early and they will come for us, but their confidence will be low and we can force errors.

Agree with this. Am mostly pretty confident in games against Man U. We can always raise our game and come close at least. I think in this one, it is United who will have their backs against the wall and need to go for it, and think they will do that, particularly as we are above them in the league at the moment. A United win, for me. But draw or win for us isn't beyond possible. Element of surprise we bring is gone, and United will be up for it.

I'll be disappointed if we don't get at least a draw. If we get no injuries over the international break I will fancy us to win

That's a tad optimistic to say the least.

We've won 3 in a row including a win at Anfield. 4 clean sheets in a row. How have United been doing? You're just negative.

I don't think so ! ...We have had a good start , united havnt ....west brom have proved already this season that its possible to come away from old Trafford with 3 points . playing our high pressing game and with man utd not quite clicking in terms of results and perhaps confidence , why shouldn't we go there expecting a draw or a win ! ...not many though we would get anything at anfield this season . Yes it will be a hard game and we wont be favourites , but I feel that we can go there and win or draw and we shouldn't be aiming for anything less

Am quite sure the team aren't aiming for anything less, but doesn't make it any less or more likely that we will get a result. Problem with runs like ours is they have to end some time, and the pressure builds. I'm just not sure Man U are going to lose two consecutive home games. Would have fancied us more if West Brom hadn't beaten them and perhaps woken them all up a bit.

Man Utd have had a pretty tough start as well. Chelsea, Man City and an in-form Liverpool in their first 7 games. I wouldn't be disappointed with a loss but a draw or even a win wouldn't be a total shock.

I don't think that we should change a thing for this one-except hope they Shaw is back! Our approach has made us difficult to score against and we might just nick a goal. How many games have Man U won 1-0 in previous seasons? I don't know the answer but it's loads and if it's good enough for them.....

I am not negative. I have said we should go to Old Trafford and attack! Check this thread if you don't believe me. Some people need to get a reality check. We are going to Old Trafford next. They are clear favourites to win. Anyone who says otherwise is deluded. We are capable of getting a result there but I'm certainly not expecting it. Man United have not become a **** team overnight. They are the Champions and dismantled Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League, who are just one point off Bayern Munich and level with Dortmund in the Bundesliga. We will have to be brilliant to get a result at Old Trafford.

Well said! Think some people are getting carried away, despite thier poor start this is a team that won the league by 12 points last year. We're not suddenly gonna go there as favourites in our 2nd pl season. Don't get me wrong I think it's a possibility that we can get a point or maybe 3. But it's also a possibilty that we'll get dicked 4-1!

I feel confident but I can also picture Van Persie scoring a late minute winner.

Not in the slightest would I suggest that that is being negative. Away to Old Trafford, I think anyone of us is entitled to believe that 'being disappointed at losing away to Man Utd' is a slightly optimistic stance!

But how many would get into our team? Rooney and RVP without a hesitation, but would you swap Morgan for Carrick or De Gea for Boruc ? They have better players but we have a better team at the moment. Rafael has never really caught my eye, but Clyne turned down utd because he thought he could! not displace him

He might not be a Utd regular, and I wouldn't say that he's anywhere near being world class, but I would take Valencia without any hesitation. In part I guess, because he would fill what we're missing.

I also guess Fonte would quickly be displaced by their array of CB options.

I'd take De Gea over Boruc in a second. De Gea will be a world class keeper soon.
