Rafa showed how he can't change a game against Arsenal. Rafa is a good coach, but one dimensional.

2-0 to 3-3 Fa CUp Final 2006

Quite clearly incapable of turning a game around..lol

I think Arsenal were just the better team last night and when the better team plays well it is always going to be hard to win

Oh ****, two games. He never did it once with us and that's all I have to go on.

You can see my point though, saying someon is incapable of turning around a game when he was involved in one of the greatest turn arounds in a major match.

But obviously with you being a Chelsea fan I can understand why you would not want to praise Benitez. (Because he is not Jose)

I have a lot of respect for Benitez and was one of his supporters.. He's just not as good as Jose when it comes to influencing a game.

One game was v west ham; and the other was down to 8 mins good fortune including a Stevie special dive
 
What about the game where Lampard broke the scoring record? A goal and man down away from home.

I guess everyone, give or take one or two, has moved on but it really wouldn't have been the worst appointment given how he got you playing and how he's done since.
 
I bet there is hardly a manger in football at any level who has managed the number of games Rafa has who hasn't got a handful of games they have made these comebacks in.

People forget when he took over we were four points behind United and three months later we were 20 points behind, losing a very winnable WCC and COC and losing two goal leads to Reading and Saints; a one goal lead to Newcastle and West ham, lucky to beat Brentford etc.

He did well after but chelsea have historically been strong at the business end oft he season partly due to the resilience and mental strength of lamps, Cech, JT etc (created by Jose) which has got us over the winning line and transcended any mismanagement by roman, scolari, AVB, Rafa, Avram etc
