Ah, so you know about that system, too. I thought only me and Mr. A.S. knew about it! <wah>

9 of the 28 races now have their own threads and I'm trying to add as much to each in terms of form, performances, market moves etc as the season progresses. I probably won't do one for the St Patricks Day Derby, worthy cause though it is, it holds no interest for me from a sporting perspective.

A bit of piss poor planning and preparation of the carnal variety over 3 years ago means I shall miss the first day of the festival as it clashes with my little lad's 3rd birthday. So it's Wednesday and Thursday (the only day I've not attended). Not booked tickets yet but a bit of a query on best enclosures. The last few years I've been in Club. Whilst the access all areas is great I don't think the view of the course is up to much. I'm sure that last year it was mentioned on here that the Tattersalls with Guinness stand upgrade is the way to go. Is that the case and can you book the Guinness stand beforehand or is it on the day only? cheers

Chan - Tatts and the Guiness stand is the way to go - lovely view of them coming down the hill and then up the finishing straight, plus the big screen right opposite and a great view of the last fence. I think you can buy seats in the Guiness stand on-line but they are also freely available on the day if you get there is good time. 25 quid I think but well worth it.

I've updated the first post on this thread to reflect some schedule changes which I only noticed today:

The Cross-Country chase is moved from Tuesday 4.00 to Wednesday 4.00
The Mares Hurdle on Tuesday moves from 4.40 to 4.00 and will be shown on Channel 4 (presumably the Quevega effect??)
The 4 mile National Hunt Chase moves from Wednesday 1.30 to Tuesday 4.40 (sad that the oldest race of the festival will now no longer be shown on terrestrial TV)
The Wednesday schedule is now Neptune, RSA, Coral Cup, Champion Chase, Cross-Country, Fred Winter, Bumper

Thursday and Friday remain as you were.

I don't see why they can't have just switched the Mares Hurdle and the Cross Country

the National Hunt Chase is always a better race at the festival

A quick tip, as I'm not able to get on here much at the moment and entries are being announced left right and centre:

For those of you on Twitter, if you follow Racenews (@RacenewsService) they are tweeting links to the press releases as each set of Cheltenham entries is announced.

I'll see if I can dig out the list of dates so you know when to keep an eye out!

Have the 4 days booked off work and today purchased my best mate ticket for Gold Cup day! Cant wait for the 4 days..

Incidentally, for those who are interested, Wincanton racecourse are doing a special deal where if you turn up for the Kingwell Hurdle day (My Tent or Yours will be there hopefully) you get £10 off your Champion Hurdle day ticket if you purchase one by end of Feb! Not a bad deal... I would recommend a trip to Wincanton. A lovely local track deep in Somerset and you can always combine it with a visit to Paul Nicholls (he 's just up the road).

Why not visit oddschecker.com which gives you the choice of prices and which firms are NRNB. Sorry if this an obvious option and you already access this 'tool'.
