Traces stay in hair much longer - just like radiation levels - and they tested there too. I'm not saying that steroids are NOT used, just that if they were, then the horses have passed all available tests, and should be considered clean!

Just put up the bumper thread which means we now have a separate thread for every race at the festival (except the Charity race). Great fun looking back over some of the threads we started early doors like the Champion Hurdle and Gold Cup. A fine collection of views, tips and predictions
And the Champion Hurdle has attracted well over 10,000 views, more than 3 times any other Festival race, the Gold Cup being next with just over 3,000
Anyone else think that the Mullins horses seem to be running a bit below par recently, allied to the slightly jaundiced view he was expressing about his charges being 'got at' --is he already preparing for some under whelming performances--- he seems to allude that every time one of his runs below expectations he thinks of 'doping'-- the guy won't be able to sleep will he !
the more I look at the races this year the harder that it seems to get. is it just me or is this the most competitive Cheltenham ever? I fear that the bookies might have a very good week
When was the easy year Steveo? . The average festival handicap winning sp for last year was in excess of 20s and that was only reduced a bit when the jolly prevailed in the final race. Bookies benefit every year, still great though. Can't wait: got the week off, the sun is shining and we beat the welsh yesterday. When your missus is welsh that always puts a spring in your step and a big smile on your face.
As always I will be trying to resist the temptation to have a bet on every single race and will no doubt fail miserably
I always have a bet in every race and last year was my most successful festival ever I suppose I am due a bad one - I think this year in particular it is the Championship races that look the toughest - apart from the Gold Cup which I really do think is a duel between Bobs Worth and Silvinano Conti
An in-shop only offer (as far as I can tell) from Billy Hills. 33-1 if you can answer YES to the following 6 questions (and they happen of course) 1) Will Hurricane Fly finish in the first three? 2) Will Quevega win the Mares race? 3) Will SDG win the Champion Chase? 4) Will Big Bucks win the World? 5) Will Kings Palace finish in the first three of the AB? 6) Will Bob's Worth finish in the first three in the CGC? Someone gave me this flyer yesterday - there are tick boxes for "yes" or "no" so presumably you are allowed to say no to a question but odds change ....... Can't find an online version and anyway, I really shouldn't be doing any more Chelts betting!
