I know I'm being very hopeful but if we keep up our current momentum then maybe we can splash anothe 10-15 million in January to buy Livermore plus a quality striker. If we get to January with 25+ points maybe the Allems might be able to feel secure enough to the summer spending early?
Dont we have a clause in his contract to buy him if we stay up? I am pretty sure that was reported. If thats true then there would be no need to buy him until then anyway unless we wanted to free up another loan spot.
I just noticed a tweet from Talksport, saying the Premier League have different rules to the Football League and season long loans can't be recalled in January. It seems we have Livermore and Graham for the season, what ever happens. The only way I think we'd try and sign Livermore in January, is if we were offered a good Premier League striker on loan and we needed to free up a loan spot.
Fairly sure there is a specific clause in Graham's saying they can recall him in January. Thus Sunderland not wanting him cup tied.
Yes premier league loans can be sent back/recalled the same as any others. Not sure where Talksport have got that from unless the rule changed this season.
Not what Jake said on saturday after the game. His time is up @ Tottenham and dont be surprised to see them splash more cash in Jan. From what has been said it is already a done deal and in place for January. Twt as always like.
So if the PL rules state that loans cannot be recalled then why is there a contract clause ? Just asking like.
I was of the understanding that a player cannot be recalled if 1) a loan fee has been paid 2) a recall clause hasn't been put in the loan agreement. We would be foolish to pay a loan fee and agree to a recall clause. So I assume we're just paying some\all of DGs wages whilst he is with us.
If he carries on playing like he has it won't just be us that are looking to sign him. Do you know if we have first refusal or could another club come in for him?
FFS tickles dont scare the kid in the car park like that, 4 geriatrics with snooker cues surrounding his Range Rover isnt the way to go!! Whats his Dad think about it anyway??
Jake told Burnsy after the game that there is an agreement in place between the 2 clubs and he is happy here. It sounded good enough to me. As for any other club wanting Jake, well they had there chance before we signed him.
What about James Vaughan? Looks back to his best. Strong, quick, eye for goal. When he was with us he was regaining form because of injuries and what not but you could tell he was a good player and he's proving that at Huddersfield now.
He's scored 9 goals in 8 Premier League starts to be fair. Although he has made a further 39 substitute appearances for Everton.
