I think it's starting to look like both he and the players are targeting the Champions League, alone. They just don't seem interested in playing against Stoke, or Villa, or Cardiff and their performances seem lacklustre. There's not reason they can't take prioritise the CL and still do very well in the PL but that's just not we've seen so far if inconsistency against the lesser teams(no offence) is going to become a problem then you really have to question these players taking millions home each year and not being arsed enough to make a real effort in all their games.
Onto Sunderland Liverpool. Why on Earth didn't the Sunderland players appeal for a handball with the opener? It probably wouldn't have made a difference but you make it very easy for the ref to avoid making a decision if you don't even appeal for it.
well they were in top place for what , 3 hours . HIAG cant even wait for all the games to be played in the weekend before giving it the big one . Priceless .
Goons and Mousers will fall away as they meet the harder teams, of that I am quite confident. By Xmas, I expect the top three to be being contested by us, Chavs and £ity, with Goons, Mousers, Saints, and United in the chasing pack for 4th.
There's a lot of factors, many not foreseeable, that go into how the season unfolds. But yes, depth of squad can, and probably will, play a large role. I think Spurs, for once, are better placed than some to deal with that eventuality.
We beat you already you plonker. If you consider yourself in the title race, then surely you consider yourself as one of the harder teams, and we've already beaten you, so by your own logic, we're more likely to be title contenders than you. Honestly though, i think it'll be between Chelsea and Citeh, with us hanging in valiantly in 3rd, with you and Liverpool fighting over 4th. The fact that we're top with a few key players out is a good sign for us though.
No need for personal insults. I thought we'd all got beyond that, what with all the recent bannings? As for you beating us, that was at a time when our squad was still in the process of gelling. None but the bitterest of wums would now deny that we are building up a very strong head of steam. The Chelsea game was a far harder ask for us than the game against you, and we came out of it with a draw. I have little doubt that if we played our game with you again we'd trounce you. I actually don't think you're playing that well and are flattering to deceive. Honestly, though, I think we will finish above you, this season. I'm not saying we'll definitely win the league, but I am confident of top 4. Whether or not AFC can hold on for a top 4 place will depend on how long its paper-thin squad can hold out without any further injuries. you're going to have to rest Ozil at some point, or he'll end up crocked. You'll be hoping, no doubt, that those players regain their fitness in time before the next crop of players get injured.
We won despite him on the weekend, he wasn't a factor in the Swansea game. Keeping Ramsey fit is the main key right now.
"Tiny Tottenham." Really? I'd say Spurs is a bigger club than 'Pool, now, and has been for some while. Yes, you will bang on about 'Pool's "Glory Days," but they are a long time past, and don't seem set to return for a very long time. We have consistently out-performed you in the EPL for several seasons, now, and have clearly been the bigger draw for top players. It's early days, sure; but I doubt that anyone with half a footballing brain truly believes that 'Pool can sustain this run of good form. You've had a very good start to the season (for you), so it is right that you should enjoy it while it lasts, but don't let it all go to your head.
Meaning twice in terms of Winning things, stature in the footballing world, revenue, global appeal, fans etc... etc... I din't say so, I just find it ridiculous the majority on here call LFC or Arsenal deluded -aiming for the title, but conveniently think you lot are in a better placed position to be aiming for it.
