Feeling concerned for your well being I've just looked it using a different source....and you are right, Brooklands was the first venue for a Grand Prix in Britain, in 1926-7, its one and only time. But you were still one short of the set mate (well 2 with the revised total of 5......).

Good to remember that Wikipedia is fallible. As, apparently, am I. May have to retire from question setting.....apologies Stroller.

Question setting is definitely getting harder. It must be time for Beth to reappear on this thread.

I'm reduced to thinking of a subject, googling it, and trying to find a suitable question about it. All the ones that spring to mind have either already been done or are way too obscure.

Cologne Hornet seems to have disappeared as well. He did set tough ones.

Stan (if I may be so familiar), thank you - I can now sleep more easily. We are all fallible.

Coogne is still around, I sometimes see him lurking.

I agree that the balance between too easy and too obscure is getting tough. at times I know the answer but don't want to give it as I have no question to ask. The weekends are easier though as I do have an excellent quiz book in my home office.

I really like Sooper's London questions, he seems to have an inexhaustible supply of them.

I reckon this has to be one of the group of 'kids' that won the League for Man U in the mid 90s. Nicky Butt was at Newcastle when they went down but I don't recall him playing for them in the Championship...
